  1. There was a clean copy of Shirley Lawson for $800 at the record fair here last weekend, see the idiot copy for uk2k+ has been moved down to an oh so generous uk1.5k to match this auction, don't rush everybody haha.
  2. In case you never got these
  3. Af-Tabs came out twice on 2 different labels and a diff flip
  4. Have to admit love opening this site's latest list to have a laugh at the comedy descriptions and prices - the current one has a personal fave, a totally cheap as chips Hal Blaine 45 we've used for 7 years now as the intro music for our live acts for sale priced at uk200 and described as an unknown, at least if the records aren't priceless the entertainment value is close. This c/u is pretty crap though.
  5. Still have an old Big Daddy mag where it made a playlist in a review of a nighter c. 2001 so 2005 is well late to the party!
  6. Have been after this since first heard it, not sure if it's really Jimmy Raye but who cares, would take it if it was Arthur Mullard.
  7. Middle 4 are in my playbox, that's an unusual combination of records to group together.
  8. The Fire 45 was also missing the picture sleeve, for a premier auction item would expect that.
  9. Just played one of these to Fonsoul here who's visiting on a buying trip, was sitting on 2 copies of this for a fair while so didn't figure was that tough but not seen many float by since, let's see what he offers eh.
  10. There's an acetate of Lela Martin using the Heartache Souveneirs backing track, one of the bunch found after she died sadly
  11. Frogdeath for sure!
  12. Have yet another version of this Mark, Downbeats on Trail out of Tennessee, prefer as more garage sounding
  13. The fashion crime on-the-spot fine for you wearing dungarees in public exactly equals the imaginary wad of sovs so you'd still not be able to buy any even in your dreams.
  14. I have the BNF, perfect record for a club love it, all 3 versions get played at Dig Deeper but that's because we can't help ourselves, predictable seeing the same old folks here saying it's too shouty for their tender ears and old knees, still have a strange memory of seeing Jimmy Burns doing his version live but at such a slow pace it sounded like a country and western song, ah well.
  15. Have a copy too, solid garage soul
  16. Have a copy of this H, totally messed up organ instro and great, the flip is more generic but have to love any song telling teenagers back then that LSD was a dance instead of a drug. This was the same band as on tracks like Delores Ealy - I've been looking btw.
  17. Either way play the flip, so much the better side and pretty slept on still
  18. Also play This love will last by Cliff but off the pre-JV release with the great snarling Jaguar logo for extra style points
  19. Any Em-Jay in UK/Europe, never seen on a playlist...?
  20. Think a few peeps backed off based on the description, luckily plays way better than expected so will do until a clean one appears
  21. There's been a couple of the Melodics recently, hope you got one of those!
  22. Dog rare, watching out for a good couple years to get one
  23. You may want to listen to the Dig Deeper edition of Jester Wild to hear a few in a row.
  24. Have a lovely clean spare if anyone's interested, great record, just PM me.
  25. Surprised (not really) no-one here has done their homework - Jerri worked as a female/male impersonator on the FL club circuit so all these comments on sounding like a man on one 45 and a woman on the other make perfect sense, have some print ads of her from back then that should post up. The other JJ on Pal is You L.I.E.D. which gets spins from both of us at Dig Deeper, just a nice little uptempo thing but none the worse for that. ps have a spare clean copy of Monkey on your back, will list it on FB next time spot it floating around. It won't be $100 so don't get too excited.
