  1. I have had that Tri-Ems for a decade or so too, was a massive disappointment when it arrived vs the vocal version but given the other instros on the label should have expected that really
  2. <<<Is this the same group on Mira who did I Was Bewitched?>>> The Mira group is The Tams under an alternate name The Paris Tower is a bunch of white FL teens from a speck of a town called Wildwood in the middle of a huge morass of swamps and lakes
  3. Feel free to make an offer on Thomas Bailey but it’s a stupidly tough 45 and sold my only spare many years back so not rushing to let go of this one.
  4. I have that Benny Davis on Glades, yet to see another Also have a clean Margaret Glover but pressed off centre so needs placing on turntable, but silly rare so hey Also the Liz Mims, Henry H, James Lewis, Joe Reed, Kissy D, just let that Othello go
  5. I've got a clean Liz Mims up for sale currently, nice and obscure, only on popsike once in 2018 / never sold on discogs
  6. Del Rays is tough but I sold 2 clean copies in the last few months, there's another still in NYC, then other than that suspect they have all made it to Europe unless GG has/kept one. Most won't know Kip who put out the Paris Tower comp as he doesn't touch soul other than to flip it but he is a big garage collector (in joke there, he's usually the only person taller than me at record fairs over here ). If you find any with the inserts then congrats, the US's main sleeve collector has a standing offer of 4 figures each for several of them, GL!
  7. I own that Chuck Vallent acetate now, and his other equally uptempo unreleased one too, plus the Peak 45 and his other vocal 45 also, so as far as know have everything that he ever cut. (Also have an unreleased Marva Whitney acetate using that Tear Drops backing track with a deep soul unreleased flip too)
  8. Oh yes it's 1000% her, play the uptempo flip just added too, unmistakeable
  9. And here's the uptempo flip, you'll recognize the backing as used on a couple of other Forte releases but she takes it by the scruff of the neck and by a minute in is just letting loose. The photos are from her very last ever show, the 2nd time we were lucky enough to put her on stage - Dig Deeper on New Year's Eve 2010, and yes that's Billy Prince of the Precisions dueting with her, beyond great. Marva unissued2.mp4
  10. Reposting as saw people cannot open the links to my FB page, here's one side of the unissued Marva acetate, the backing track is an earlier and far better version of a later song she did but this is the real deal Marva unissued.mp4
  11. https://www.facebook.com/100004575060757/videos/817307098431785 https://www.facebook.com/100004575060757/videos/pcb.1517654951730326/1517654415063713
  12. Even though Marva's last show ever was for us in NYC (she was amazing) still bow to Connie's version of Ball of Fire, her audible breathing even as she accentuates is beyond special. That said, think Marva's best recording is an unissued acetate that lucky enough to own, one side uses an uptempo Forte backing track, both are off the hook, if ever get round to doing issues it's on the list.
  13. One here, let a friend know it existed and he lucked out from a late night posting too, it's definitely Eddie's hardest
  14. He won’t sell it, was pretty excited to get it and gave up something +++. Try the SD peeps, it’s from there after all, Mark Garcia or Mike Umholtz
  15. Took a clean copy to 2 consecutive Austin Record Fairs, everyone skipped right by it until traded to a person who ironically see all the time here on the East Coast.
  16. Super clean Ercel Brown and Wesley Paige here, you won't find Ercel anyhere else, you also don't specify which Heti, she has 2 on that label, just sent a clean copy of each to the UK.
  17. Super strong copy of an elusive gem, one just ended on John's auction most of you'll have seen, $750 & post from NYC
  18. Only 2 documented copies of Willie Smith and both live in NYC, the 2nd one has the best history as it originally belonged to Mad Mike, then ended up with the compiler of all the BFTG garage series, the other used to be with Finewine.
  19. There's 2 by Heti Lloyd on Shonda, one is rarer than the other, both are here and also she's the photo behind my record deck on the videos on my FB page.
  20. Adding to your 2 in the flesh Chalky, as mentioned right above I've had 2 here, one a million years back and kept, other added and then traded to a local GA collector 4/5 years ago, when got the first it was ungoogleable and the uptempo side was a playbox staple every time went over to Europe, have grown fond of the classy flip too
  21. LA, see it every few years, friend had trouble selling a spare, decent loud flip but a bit annoying
  22. Search WFMU.org Downtown Soulville
  23. I’d let the Aaron go, drop me a line on FB, easier as we’re already friends there
  24. I sent the Chuck Kenwood to a friend as a gift recently, it's not a duet, you can probably hear it on an old Finewine show as have heard him spin it live a few times too
  25. Yes, own one of the Aaron Taylor also, it's not the one that went through ebay. Both sides of the other are knockout, really unique sound - know of 3 copies, all are here in the US and were found together. There's a couple of related 45's, but those are annoyingly obscure too. ps pro-tip - if you have a Starbucks barista in Brooklyn with Tasha on her nametag and tell her about this label you get a free coffee, true!
