Tell Me Baby, Karmello Brooks & Sad Girl, Carol Anderson always seem to stay in my mind after hearing and induce uncontrolled bouts of singing (much to the annoyance of wife and daughter who like both tracks but not my interpretation of them!)

Thought marks show last night, concentrating on down & mid tempo stuff, was absolulety great. 2 tracks that were new to me and stood out were The Startells - Falling In Love With You Girl and Aretha Franklin - One Step Ahead (?). Anyone able to post up sound files of these?

Was told today that N. Soul magazine is no more - no longer viable. Liked the early editions of Togetherness as it was, but felt that recently the magazine was getting somewhat tired and repetitive.

See attached avator (1974). Black and White crepe sole shoes, bought from Carnaby St. Bought a black mac at the same time, I seem to remember that the fashion was to have the belt fastened at the back. Also sprayed my Doc Martens silver, wore a 'tank top' with 999 across the chest and wore Rupert trousers!!!

Just bought myself a new van for work and it has a good old fashioned cassette player in it. Being blessed with a great lack of forethought and a wife who dosn't do clutter my collection of old Wigan/Samantha's, self made comps. etc. has long since vanished. Anyone out there able to provide me with any tapes? Will obviously pay for these. Pretty open minded , so all Northern genres welcome. PM if able to help.
