  4. Thanks Sutty. I'd listened to the Gene Chandler (original?) version of this. Excellent of course but I prefer the Gary Griffin take of it. Just love the lead vocal, harmonies and horns. The home made shaky video just adds a great atmosphere to it as well. Haven't come across a Curtis Mayfield version. is there one?

  11. No not the Marvellettes, just checked out on You Tube. Think it's a solo female artist. I must have downloaded it years ago probably from KTF?. Anyway it's a cracking record and would love to know who the singer is.
  12. Listening to an old i-pod today and a great record called "I'll Follow You" came on by an unknown female artist. Slow, sort of jazzy feel start leading up to big sound finish. First couple of lines - I'll follow you wherever you lead me, I'll stand by you whenever you need me.............. Anyone identify the artiste? Thanks in advance

  14. I'm 56 now and Motown has been a backdrop to my life - Good times, Bad times, Happy times and Sad times. Hard to select a number one track for each act, let alone overall but I'll go for the magical Marvin Gaye and Inner City Blues (Make me wanna holler). Sheer poetry. Relevant in '71, still relevant today?

  17. Here I Go Again was the first record that really got me interested in Soul music. Remains one of my favourites after all these years. Tighten Up & Theres Gonna Be A Showdown are also tracks that I remember with fondness.
