  21. John Ridley's site Bob, https://www.sirshambl...nklin/index.php But have also be in conversation with your buddy's at Nemro about about doing the label as a project, spoken to the label owner and he is interested.
  22. Well the few I have, have all but gone, so maybe a long time B4 some are seen again. As many have said this is a fantastic little label with hardly a bad release. Little was know about it right up until a couple of years ago, John on his site has done a great job giving a little background on some of the artists, but many are still little know. I have more recently spoken to the label owner about looking out masters to see if there are any unreleased things
  23. I met the label owner a couple of years ago. The guy worked for Stan at Stan's Record Distribution in Shriveport, as well as running this label. One reason the 45's have stayed scarce is that when Stan went bankrupt, everything in the warehouse was sized including his stock of the label. To his best knowledge these were distroyed/dumped. He had a few of each at his home, which he sold to me. Although Bob says he's seen Speck And The G.H. Outlaw Gang most, it was the smallest pressing run at only 500, so infact the rarest.. The first two releases were also small pressing runs at no more than a 1000, the others saw runs of over 1000. Here is to my best knowledge the label listing. The Label also had a great gospel sister label called Memorial, which had 45 & LP releases FACES 3-10 - (1974) - L.C. Steels - Losin' Boy / Pretty Black Woman FACES 3-11 - (1974) - Ray Quarles - It's Gonna Be All Over / Ain't Love Good When It Rains FACES 2012 - Al Hill - Big marie/Try to be a man FACES 2013 - (1976) - Speck And The G.H. Outlaw Gang - I Wonder About Myself / Hell Girl FACES 2014 - (19xx) - Si Perry - I Got Somebody Else Doing The Things You Used To Do / Si's Shuffle FACES 2015 - (1977) - George H. Franklin - Gone For Good / That's How It Is When You're In Love FACES 2015 - (1977) - George H. Franklin - Gone For Good / Someone Will Take Over Where You Leave Off FACES 2016 - (1977) - Ray Batts - Don't Take My Dreams / Love Me FACES 2017 - Maybe no release or could be Sam Benson below, which has no Faces number on the label or run out FACES 2018 - (1978) - George H. Franklin - First Good Thing (Makes You Want More) / Satisfied FACES 2019 - (1978) - Chosen Few - I'm Alone' / Ooh! I Want You Baby Cord X-314/Cord X-315 - (1978) - Sam Benson - Disco do you believe in disco/Stay with me (Until the morning comes) PS although I did get a few of each from him, but just to quell those that want to, like to spread rumours. No I didn't get hundreds of each. I feel having spoken to the label owner and hearing his story, that this will always remain a label that is hard to find. Lastly for such a small label it's a killer, with hardly a bad release.
  24. And a mighty fine tune it is Trev............. and here's another 4 2 Day Ken Meridith - Wondering - HoMark £55.0 +P&P (Stone Mint) Big play for Soul Sam, rare pressing with vocal version of 'Wondering', most were pressed as an Instrumental. Street level, down and dirty sub-disco funk
