  2. It wouldn't be the first time BMI have merged two writers with the same name together
  3. I ran those with Chris, but as two of you say he was there, he must have done one, but it would only have been one. Regular DJ's were Butch, Chris King, Myself, Soul Sam, Bob Hinsley, Andy Rix (occasionally) and in the Modern Room Goucher, Soul Sam, Gavin Page, Polly, Richard Francis. plus Cliff Steel & Andy Whitmore from time to time
  4. I ran the allnighter and he never worked for me there. The last time he DJ'd for me was at Stafford. Now he might have done one of the soul nites there that Chris Anderton did, but not the allnighter.
  5. To my memory it was first played by Ian Clark at Stafford, then Pat and Myself both played it some. After that it could be heard being played by many DJ's, but no one in particular. PS Pat never did Bretby
  6. Last copies of these two great 45's ..................... Sam Benson - Disco ! Do you believe in disco / Stay with me (Until the morning comes) - Faces cord X-314 One of the hardest to find on the label, only been one for sale in 10 years on Ebay. One side is a cool funky modern dancer. The flip side delivers a deep soul winner that just builds and builds. These are stone mint, never seen a record needle, like all these offers only a hand full for sale and when their gone, their gone for good. £25 + £1.50 in the UK, + £2.50 the rest of the world Here an interesting one for you. This pressing is completely unknown, to my knowledge. Bobbie Roberson - Don't you leave me baby / Don't turn your back on me baby - Bolivia 332 This is the same recordings as The Founders - Bolivia 323 , they came from Bobbie's brother and label owner Leroy 'Roy' Edwards. Roy told me it was released 5 years later than The Founders. Bobbie was the groups lead singer. They were pressed to push the song a second time, but then Roy left New York and they never got released. Anyway a 'Lowrider' classic one side and a nice southern soul mover on the flip, The Founders regularly sell for £150 + The Bobbie Robinson 2Day at the bargin price of £25 + £1.50 in the UK, + £2.50 The Rest Of The World Exactly same recording as this ................... 15. Do agree with Jordi as great story ..............
  16. I'm sorry am I missing the point. It's just a rare foreign issue of a common U.S. 45. Stunning it maybe as a song, but you can buy it today on the web for £25 from many buyers on U.S. Uni. Steve is right, 'horses for courses', but I have never fully understood collecting the rarest pressing over the original first pressing. At that point, to me you no long are soul collectors, but stamp, coin etc collectors. But in the realm of those sort of collectors, still can't see it being worth more than say £150 for it's novelty. Only my view, many other views available
  17. Anyone gotta copy of this for sale Sons Of The Kingdom – Hey There / Modernization, Israel only release Thanks Dave
