  1. Joe Buckman and Joe L, great under play Detroit tunes. Shame Joe Buckman is such a bad recording.
  2. I like many, feel I should only play originals, if only out of respect for all those who work so hard to collect them. But I like hearing other DJ's that suprise me play interesting sets, rare and common records alike, mix together well. Rarely do I go up to the decks to see if it is an original that they are playing, I'm more interested in hearing good soul music.
  3. Can someone pm me as well need to speak to him Dave
  4. Sorry, Nothings gonna change me
  5. A few come to mind Dave Blocker-Make a change David Martin-You're mighty right
  6. Well I got this totally wrong, see this response from some one on Ebay to the add I have run. Not a question but a fact, and a bit of history. This great dancer was first broken at Cleethorpes Pier/Winter Gardens circa late seventies (1978),forget who played it first. I was there-Mick H was probably in short pants at that time. There`s nothing new under the sun as they say..Thanks for listening..Byeee! To be fair all I have written was that it is currently big for Mick H, but seems to be enough to set some off, happy days
  7. Feel free Also see All our yesterdays-Memory Jerking Memorabillia Part 2, tread. Put up a few original flyer scans
  8. A simple but effective tune
  9. No sooner said, than done. Originally covered up as Van McCoyanacostia_what.mp3
  10. Always the voice of reason. Give you a ring soon somethings afoot Love Dave
  11. Hi guys Think that clinches it, there are two original presses. Mine also has the same marks in the run out grooves, but is a different label design.. Now which is rarer
  12. R-E-B-O-U-N-D is very simular, I think you'll like it Good days and 'we had the crack' as they say
  13. OK I've read the whole thing through now and have to agree mine is different to Manship and Popsike, but is the same as the one on Jimmie Raye's site, so must be 2 pressings
  14. Here is one I did earlier, when it was a poor struggling allniter
  15. You tell me I lost the plot about midday
  16. So much confusion, The one I sold you came from Tim Ashebend back in the late 70's when he got a few from Jimmy. The one I have now is the first of the two scans and is an original I picked up in the US mid 80's, from a DJ on the east coast. It was clearly used and loved when I got it. Dave
  17. Still sounds great Here a couple of 60's ones Tommy Hunt, Words can never tell it Lee Edwards & The Continentals, Need I say more 80's Manhattans, Crazy Colorblind, Crazy Mini Lp track
  18. Sorry, have been told it was first played by Andy Dyson, Sorry Andy
  19. Just found out it's a big tune for Mick H. Just put one up on Ebay for sale if anyones interested https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=150021089184
  20. Go back to him and take the £150, do it now!!!!!!
  21. Here's a scan of an original if that helps Dave
  22. This great police officer in Detroit Metro, just took a year in his spare time contacting as many people as he could that had been dealing with him, took statements plus any copies of emails we had, money order info etc and did him for fraud. The email thing was interesting, as in the states at the time they already accepted emails as a legal letter, which the UK didn't. So his email replies help bring him down. Dave
