  1. Arin Demain, must have been an off day
  2. Hi Pete Met Jimmy Church last year in Nashville, he is still out most weekends doing gigs and voice is still great. Offered him to a well known weekender promoter to bring over here and was greeted with silence. A real shame as it would be great to get him over here, someone different instead of the same old artists year after year. Also nice to see an artist that can still sing and knows the lyrics to their songs. Just my opion
  3. Think one has it $150 and the other at $110
  4. Always been one of those love it or hate it records, no where in between, split opinion then and I guess it still does today.
  5. Manship and Moerer have one for sale
  6. Stop the world - Whispering Shadows - Funny who times change, loved this when I used to play it at Stafford, then went right off it, Haven't played it for 15 years until just now, it's not bad is it. Recorded in Oakland, Cal
  7. I'll upload it in a minute. Believe it or not I swapped it in return for a copy of The Classics on Yan-G with Chris Plant. Saddly I sold the Classic on to Ted, one of the few records I wish I hadn't sold. Hope you still have it Ted
  8. Nice 60's soul and much better than Arin Demain
  9. Your right Paul, that's why I constantly sing the praises of venues like, Lifeline and The Orwell and the DJ's that play there, they work so hard to bring quality not so often heard music, to peoples ears. I read those people comments on here about, why don't people play with more imagination and many of those people who regularly do that on here are never seen at the very venues that do try to do just that. Maybe they just like being grumpy old men, and fear that if they did go to these venues, they would loose the reason for being.
  10. Bugger, just gone through my old sound clips and the bunch I sold for £30 each was the rarer without machine noise version. No wonder they sold so fast
  11. PS why is this under 'Some More Overplayed Oldies', if no one knows it
  12. Was a big tune at Stafford, but has always stayed hard to find hence rarely heard out. It is a lot faster than the Accents version. Was Pat's biggest record for about 6 months. Just goes to show though, how few people really went to Stafford, as so few of you know it.
  13. ` I had a bunch of 45's awhile back got £30.00 each for them and they sold out in about 2 weeks. The 12" is really hard to find, always been a big boogie tune in London and with the european boogie collectors. Usually goes for about £100 on the 12"
  14. Far right hand side is Gilly from Burton Hope your enjoying the record Love Dave
  15. You've instantly found the solution to the nations weight problem, everyone should be buying exspensive soul records instead of food. Problem solved
  16. Small town in the west country, famous for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bugger. I'll do some research before I see you
  17. I know that, tomorrow is just a practise
  18. Traveling tomorrow to record the show, looking forward to it, but 2 hours of records and chat, I don't have that many records , Have to borrow some of Gavins punk to play. Shame i'm not around the day after to see my one time partner and old mate Danny. Looks like I'll be making a second trip north at the weekend to the hallowed ground that is The Orwell, see you guys there
  19. The first one's Cosy found and sold me were red 45's. But lets ask him, come in Mr Cosgrove you times up
  20. Don't I know it, Malayka found some rolls of it at a Germany car boot fair and plans great things in the house!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Never seen or heard of one
  22. Your right, he walked into Stafford, he had just come back from the states and said "here Dave play this, it will be a monster. You can have it for £20.00 but only if you play it". When Stafford finished I sold alot of records to John Anderson, that was amongst them, he then sold it to Sam. Took me along time to get another one. I believe John then found a few more a couple of years later, but not many.
  23. Love the wallpaper behind Mick
  24. See bottom of the flyer, Ben E King and the Drifters. Never turned up and on my birthday and all. Not one of my more happy memories
  25. The Love I Lost, was a monster tune at Yate. We were lucky enough to get them along to do Stafford, by that time Ebo was the lead singer. Just the dogs nuts and one of the best nites at Stafford, over 1500 in to see them, the whole nite was madness
