Have a killer CD from Grady Washington (Gino's brother) about 5 years old everyone who hears it love's but few takers. Sounds very Keith Washington. Have a bunch of things I got from distributor about 8 years ago, many real hard to find, just sitting on them till there time comes.

  9. Bugger me, used to see this sitting around in Detroit a fair bit!!!
  10. I tend to agree with both Roger and Sean, over the years some DJ's have been to obsessed with the beat, northern and modern. But you have to be careful of glass houses, i'm sure over the years some of my choices have not always been the best.
  11. I must be going mad, last time I looked at this I thought it had a bunch of bids on it. But it's showing none
  12. Please do, be good to see you and I think your have yourself a mighty fine time
  13. Can't believe that of our Richie, such a polite man , and shevles full of original copies of current indemand tunes
  14. I think, it's about quality, plain and simple. Of the stuff played then, if you got to some venues it is still getting played from time to time, but now as oldies, Chapter 8, Johnnie Taylor or the harder to find things like Raj and Jewel. The same can be said of more recent stuff, the best things still get heard from time to time, such as Michael Proctor, Frankie Knuckles, Margi Coleman and Sounds of Blackness. Some others, I will admit slip away, but if thier good they eventually get re-discovered and have a second lease of life.

  18. Promotor 2 here. Keep this simple, rang Sam gave him dates for Soul shakers @ Solihull. He said, that clashed with Middleton, I said fine we will have to do without you on this date. He said he could do an early set before Middleton, I said you sure, he said yes. So we agreed on 10-11pm. I have also rung Ady McCabe and promised him that we will get him out the door at 11, so that he has a good 3 hours to get there and not rush. We are really looking forward to Sam's set with us, as last time he did a blinder, pulling alot of things he doesn't always play elsewhere. We are aware that many people going to Middleton are also looking forward to hearing Sam play, and feel we have a responsibilty to make sure he gets there in time and fresh to do a blinder there as well. Dave
  19. Hi All Are the Holidays, Four Holidays, Fabulous Holidays, Holiday, out of Detroit all the same group. If so does anyone have the full story with line ups. I have records by all of these, love just about everything they have done. Dave
  20. The first release (Sonic) has a great funk flip, if your crossover fan then you will want the second, which has a great soulful midtempo flip (LK). The LK is a proper second release for this killer uptempo Chicago stormer. The Sonic release was selling for about £250, driven by the funk market. But a couple of the later LK ones have sold for nearly that much on Ebay, in the last few months.
  21. New Yorks Finest at work, and people complain about the guys from the Met, makes you realise how lucky we are here
  22. Nice mate, can't help
  23. Hi Ady Sorry to hear about the loss of the 100 Club, had so many great nites there as a punter and a DJ. I sure you will carry the spirit on at the new venue. Can't make the first one as we have our venue's first night on the 10th. But will get down soon to support. 6T's is one of the main corner stones of the London soul scene, if not the UK. All the best Dave
