  1. I remember when they first appeared back in the day, many people said it was a boot, something to do KR when he was living in New York. But I think, it was a re-recorded by Kenny himself, I know he was contacted by a lots of people early/mid 70's and was aware the record was getting played in the UK. Maybe someone in the UK, with Kenny had a hand in it ?
  2. Yes, dear, dear John. But have had more great records from this man than any other. Great bloke and still one of the best dealers in the world , even if he has beaten me to a couple of deals recently

  11. I play stuff that I really like and believe the dance floor will like as well. Value has little to do with it, as it has never been a very good measurement of quality. I try where I can to visit venues I am going to dj at before the night I'm booked to get a feel for the venue, but where that is not possible, get there as early as possible to listen to the other dj's and watch the crowd. I try to ignore trends, whats hot etc and play from my heart. But there again, I've always lived in my own little world
  12. Coming on here drunk, that will never do. Anyway that's my domain

  14. Hi Steve Forgot that one, and can't remeber the name of the show either. He was on the telly the other week as well, some documentry about hairdressing. Dave
  15. I was reminded the other day about the appearance of several mates on tv. One was a very fresh faced Gavin Page on one edition of 'The Tube', all sweaty faced throwing his self around to some New Wave band. The other was sitting in front of the Telly watching 'Family Fortunes' and there displayed for all to see was The Pountain Family, from Gloucestershire with my old mate Ady front and centre. Most know of the the Stafford and Wigan one's, but got any more to report or even a Youtube clip would be good. Dave
  16. Get out of here Ted
  17. There are three formats for the Professionals The issue-which there were a fair few around back in the 70's, but most are now in collection so only appears every now and then. The demo-This I've never seen, but have it on good authority from guys in Detroit was produced. Yellow wax-Only ever seen one in Simon Sussan's collection when it came to Yate for sale. This I would say is very rare, as colored wax pressing was often done for fun near the end of a pressing run.
  18. Clive Jones had a Demo of The Del-Larks from John Anderson, in about 1981 along with a demo of Robbie Lawson.
  19. One hour left don't miss out Dave
  20. Just five hours to go on this great offer
  21. More importantly, shouldn't you be worrying about the Yen, intrest rate rises and making money to buy more records. To think our economy is in the hands of young men like you, morning James.
  22. Last few added, that's it for today
