  1. THERE YOU GO 'TIP OF THE WEEK'
  2. Sits around on the web for about £15-£20, if this was on some tiny indie label it would sell for £££, proper 60's dancer!!!!!!!! when you concider some of the old tosh played in the name of rare 60's soul or 17 replys discussing Al foster band, I dispair JACKIE VERDELL
  3. Spoke to Tony last night at Lifeline, he confirmed that he DJ'd for Dinks at Yate about 5 or 6 times
  4. Hearsay is a dangerous thing, but. I remember someone in Nashville telling me that Freddie North is only a stage name. That he is a very private person and does not like talking about his music career, nowdays ? Have to look back through some old notes to see if I can find anything else. He also worked as a DJ in Nashville, I believe under the name Freddie North
  5. All my Yate records already sorted for the Re-Union on the 1st Dec, so will bring them along with me, debt will be paid in full, see you on 10th
  6. You could also ask for Mike to do the honors at your funeral, as he has his own ministry in Detroit
  7. I have no memory of seeing it on Black Magic in the 70's, but nobody knows everything. 2 of their releases are on Sheild, check out the great 'Swing', popular tune at Yate. I also have one of those 7"-33 1/3 things by them as well, called 'Keep rolling', but this just isn't as good as the Shield releases. I've seen the Black Magic one advertised as a west coast release, which is even more odd, as they are definatly a East Coast group.
  8. Thanks to those of you that have trawled through already and ordered Dave
  9. Kevin Drinkard-I wanna thank you Label:Teens

  13. Hi All This little tread is tripping along nicely and I don't want to exclude anyone's contribution. But add a few guidelines. 1-Tracks that are available all over the web and on dealers lists. So that some one could go from this tread and buy it now. 2-Cheap as chips 3-Sound clips where possible, so everyone can share in your tip 4-No sound clip, then a discription. This all means a little work but i'm sure you don't mind that to assist your fellow sourcers Dave
  14. Oh lighten up, was just a bit if fun. Young man like you surrounded by those old chaps, it the photo
  15. Get out of here, love the peeps of that fair city
  16. Hi Mate See from avatar, that you still have your job at 'help the aged'
  17. Just been able to track down another original Yate dj-Richard Marsh, I haven't seen him in 30 years. Richard DJ'd when John Kojac Harvey's Inter-City Soul Club ran the allnighter. He has agreed to do the first hour, so now we have a full and original Yate line up for the Re-union!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I've got them at £15
  19. Sorry re-issue, has knocked the price a bit
  20. It did come out on 12" twice, but one version is a down tempo, different mix. I had some of the better mix a year ago on 12" and all sold within a few weeks for £50 each, mainly went to france.
  21. Don't know what that LP is worth. Did sell a Mississipi Mud Band, with the track on for £150. I believe it also came out as a 45 on Polydor as well. Stunning tune.
  22. Both top tunes, but I think the fact that Jewel has been booted in the states has knocked the price a bit.
  23. Haven't spoken to him yet, can you let me have a sound clip
  24. Well that's been a good start to what could be a nice weekly feature Mr Plumb, still waiting for your tip
