  1. Hi All Has anyone got a listing of all The Enchanted Five releases, please Dave
  2. It was a fantastic moment in time, never had a bad night there and I stood next to Tim Ashibend and we both shed a tear or two as they played the final three records on the 'first' last night. But I have said before, for me it wasn't the only venue that I enjoyed at that time. The Mecca at times was it's equal, but for different reasons, but that's just my opion. Wigan, top club, great peeps, lots of great records and dj's.

  10. Bank Holiday Bash, Three rooms and 9 hours of oh so soulful tunes
  11. Saw Marvin on one of his last tours of the UK, in Bristol. Although by that stage he was a bit showy and even weak in places, still ranks as a special moment. When he focused the emotion just dripped off the stage and still had the ability to make me weep to 'What going on'
  12. If I remeber correctly was first played at The Mecca (Colin Curtis) then it was picked up by dj's a Wigan
  13. Hi All Have a problem, just sold a sealed copy of the US original LP by Timeless Legend. The customer has come back an said it only has 6 tracks listed on there and not 11, not sure why he thinjks 11, but anyway, also it doesn't including 'I was born to love you' As it's sealed he doesn't want to open it. So, questions... Is that all the tracks on the LP, or is there more on it. Is 'I was born to love you' on it. Does the Soul Brother re-issue have more tracks Does the UK re-issue have 'I was born to love you'Never had it before, so need some help. Dave

  17. Hi All Picked this CD up in Detroit a few weeks ago and really liked it. It's a collection of current groups from around Detroit. Each group is populated by singers and muscians old and new. Very soulful R&B covering some new material and new versions of old. We have it on our web site www.topdogrecords.co.uk with a sound file of some tracks as snippets. Killer tracks, 2, 5, 8 which we have on the sound file. Worth getting, also availble from CD baby. Dave
  18. Hi All those back at work on a monday, we posted the above up late friday. Thanks for looking Dave
  19. Nice try, but nooooooooo
  20. Hi Willie As I said in the title, this was not a sales pitch, but glad you liked it. Sean, see what your saying and will work on that, but might need to up grade data base to do that, we are currently working from basic Excel. Dave
  21. Another one I'm looking for James & Truitt With Black Smoke - What's Wrong With It - Juca
  22. Hi There is an option to view 25/50/100 titles at a time at the top of each page. Once you have chosen this it stays at that setting for the duration of the visit. If we put any more, due to the amount of info and features we have, it makes the page sticky and slow, but you can view a 100 at a time as an option. I know we have alot of titles, but as I said before, we like to say 'it's all there', you won't miss out on anything because you haven't actually been round to see us. In fact a couple of 'Top DJ's'!!!!! have said why don't you keep the good stuff to one side, thats not how we work, level playing field, everyone gets a crack at the same stuff. I know that there is alot of everyday titles there, not everyone wants the tuff stuff, you will be amazed at the number of everyday Al Green, Barry White, etc we sell. We set out not to be an elitist site, but a site for black music lovers, as we say 'From the hard to find, to the just plain good' Thanks everyone for your feed back, we will continue to listen and make changes where we can. Dave & Malayka
  23. Didn't know that, I used to play it from the sound track LP.
  24. Back in the day, played a track from the film 'Fame', 'Hot lunch jam-Kids From Fame'. Very popular at Yate, even played it at Wigan on a couple of the Saturday nights I did there.
