This has not been the best week for me and venues ............................... -------------- Spirit' Allnighters, R.I.P. -------------------- Unfortunately due to the death of a young girl at a rave event, also held at The Box. The senior management that own the company that includes The Box, have decided that they will no longer cater for late night events. So unless I can find another interesting venue as an alternative, I have to say 'Spirit' is no more. All suggestions for possible venues welcome. 'It shone bright for a moment'..........................

------------------ Yate Reunion Cancellation ----------------------- It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the Yate Reunion. Although this is a charity event it still has fairly high running cost, the club has a potential cost if the bar take doesn’t reach it’s a certain level. As this is a city licensed club then there is a minimum security staff level that has to be provided again with a cost. Lastly even though it’s for charity some of the DJ’s that travel have to see a minimum of payment. So with this all in mind and the general low level of interest shown on Facebook or here to the event, which is our only real indication of attendance levels. We have decided that we can’t expose the radio station to this level of potential loss and will have to cancel. We are truly sorry Dave Thorley, Leon Brown, Jerry Hipkiss & Marc Moyse

Recently these have been selling on Ebay for $50+ even in VG condition. There used to be a warehouse in the deep south with some stock of these, sadly that burn't down 2 years ago. Back in the day the A side 'World, World' was popular at The Mecca, now days people have picked up on the equally good 'I wanna thank you'. The A side delivers a rhythm driven up tempo killa dancer. The now popular B side is a soulful midtempo stunner. A real value for money 2 sider, but when they've gone, they've gone for good...........................................
