  1. Ah yes, now you mention it and wasn't there a Pete Hamilton Generation involved as well. Yes hope you can make it to Hip City, Malayka doesn't believe you, she says you always say you are coming
  2. I played at Ann Arbor twice, brilliant night, and as good as anywhere in the UK for an up for it open minded crowd. The DJ's are very inventive, I've played along side the Detroit guys and some from Seattle and really enjoyed myself. They inturn let me do what I do and were very supportive. As for Germany, would agree with Dave Rimmer, must be the biggest scene outside the UK in europe, possibly anywhere in the world after the UK. Some of Europe best cutting edge DJ's live and play there, ie Marc Forrest and Lars. They play things common with the UK plus many things that you don't hear here. Nurnburg, Bamberg, Hamburg and Aachen are extreamly well attended events that would put many UK weekenders to shame. These events have very diverse DJ line ups and exciting play lists. Bamberg, plays host to dj's from Germany, Spain, USA, UK, France over 2 rooms. You can hear great northern, modern, funk and crossover, over 3/4 days. When playing in Spain at Spannish run events I have found them to be some of the most open minded peeps anywhere in europe. I say god bless them all, have given me alot of enjoyable weekends over the last few years.
  3. Not sure if this has been said already, but Arthur Fenn turned up a few good one in his time, but I'm sure he can tell more him self. Where are you my good man. Dave

  5. Actually, the Kamello Brooks came out of the back of U.S. Deletions, Gloucester Rd, Bristol. As did many a rare LP. Heard Richard play Astral Trip at Wigan C/U, he told me what it was and got three copies of the LP a few days later from there. Same story with Harley Hatcher-Soul Hustler, wonder what happened to all their stock ?
  6. Claiming that you played any thing first is always a dangerous thing, as there is always someone that pop's up and say 'No it was Bert Sufflebottom, who play it first at the Ah Uoop youth club in 1853. But I was playing Kamello Brooks, late Yate/early Stafford and it was very popular. I sold it to John Anderson at the end of Stafford and it seemed to pick up popularity again in the late 80's Dave
