  1. He recorded this for his wife. I'd put in a link to refro, but there doesn't seem to be a tag for cut and paste

  3. Would have thought it was about £15 not much more. I seem to remember Pat Brady playing this at the Casino, no really

  5. Now some of you know that I have always loved this Lp, not a bad track on it. Played several tracks, back in the day at Stafford, but hells teeth, this used to be £30-£50 lp. Who says LP don't sell, only wish they came to my site, got shed loads of them. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160495706513
  6. Richard has started a blog, which he says he will keep updated regularly. News in there of a new book and the launch of his new record label. Here's the link http://www.richardsearling.co.uk/ intro from the site... "Welcome to my blog - I ll be keeping you up to date with all my music-related projects, and who knows, if the team plays well, a bit about football too! Hopefully you find it all thought provoking and informative and I look forward to receiving your feedback - as long as it's all positive of course!"

  8. So those £10 records your buying from me, you sell on:ohmy:
  9. Just had a nice note from Richard Searling, I sent him a sound file. "The track is awesome! How I wish I was still on radio and I d play it to death...well done!" Artwork been worked on this week for the sleeve, then we can start production. Always exciting getting some you have worked on out.
  10. Hi Carl Thanks for that, I know you unstand the trials of an endeavor like this. But I have to say the magic has come from the muscians, producers and arrangers in Detroit. As you know it is still a city of so much talent, all they need is a little money, bags of encouragement and a little help getting it out there.
  11. Don't worry, pre-release we will post it on here so you can order it. Thnaks for everyones interest Dave
  12. And I genuinely take that as high praise, thank you
  13. Still talking to the pressing plant (Archers, Detroit) and sleeve manufacters, but looks like it will be between £15-£18 retail. Hopefully will be availble from major soul outlets in the UK & europe and my own site as with the Rotations release we did 18 months ago.
  14. A few years ago I was given a private pressed cd album that had been recorded in Detroit over 18 month period. It was an interesting mix of all new contemporary soul recordings by a bunch of talented Detroit musicians. I was so taken by it, and one track in particular 'Give it what you got', that I met up with them to learn more. As a result I got involved in putting out some more material from these guys. My role has been mainly that of business angle and have not tried to influence the making of the music, as i felt that would affect it's purity. The results are now just about ready for release, we will be putting out a limited 200 pressing vinyl LP and there will also be a CD a few months later. The LP will come with 8 tracks, one from the first CD 'Give it what you got', which I just love and 7 new tracks. The CD will have 12 tracks on it and where they are the same as the LP, many will have different mixes. I often here people say no new good soul music is being made, thats untrue, but with the age old problem of funding, the new ones of how to distribute and get your music heard, it's fair to say less is. I'm so, so plaesed to be bringing this to market, hope you guys will find it interesting. Below is a track from the LP I have posted before, but hopefully this will give you a flavour of what will be coming, real songs, by real musicians funk factor - give it what you got - Cheers Dave

  22. Hi Gilly And much of his work was aided by our good friend Popcorn Wylie Dave
  23. Hi Ian Never seen any W/D of Inter/Soul and I've been through Earnest's house top to bottom many times over.
  24. You know how it is, you are half way through telling a story and get to the bit where you say 'and he was in the group' and then complete memory blank. Happen to me last night at 'Dab of soul' had half the room trying to work out who I meant. So for Val, Keith Williams, Sean Hampsey, Tats, Rob Smith, Johnny Beggs and Mace. Fabulous Denos, Ricky Andrews was in the Fabulous Denos.
  25. In the U.S. guys can be pressing up to 5000 copies on their own financies, but it is more common that they are between 200-1000. These are done not just for promotion, but often to sell at gigs and to put into local shops for sale by the artist. These rarely see a distributor and in the mists of time often become the truely rare records we all search for.
