  3. And it's a better record;)
  4. Agree, also believe that San Remo Strings and Laura Lee are hard to find. Velgo, just a thought, if they did W/D of Gwen Owens, wonder if they did one for Two plus Two ?
  5. Mine has.......... # 722 A .!. SON Bell Sound sf s-2004 So looks like the same run out info
  6. Re. Dave Love W/D OK, I take all that back, I've just found my copy. It has 'Three Souls Music' on both sides and has a 'Bell Sound' stamp in the run out groove So the mystery thickens, was it in fact pressed twice. Does yours have a 'Bell Sound' stamp ? It is possible that it was pressed twice, as the label was jointly own by Johnny Worlds (Worlds Records, New York) & Al Holiday (Steeltown Records, Phittsburgh). It is possible that they both had copies pressed local to them. It would be interesting to hear John's thoughts on this.
  7. While were on the subject, which of the Ric Tic white demo's are hard to find
  8. Hi Rob Nice read. I see Jimmy Holland just about every time I'm in Detroit, he would love to bring the Holidays over to the UK, but every time I've mentioned it to anyone here no one has shown any interest, shame really. Dave
  9. They mis-printed the label pt1 and pt2, flip yours over. I got 4 copies from one of the late owners wives. Maybe it took another brother to come up with the instrumental:D
  10. I believe this to be very rare, only ever seen 2 copies one in Detroit and one over here, anyone on here got one.
  11. Nice Andy:thumbsup:
  12. Hi Chalks How are you Mate. Agree but was think demo's over issues ie Dave Love below, although it is very hard to sell.
  13. What do we all think are the really rare/hardest to find white demo's. If this has been done before, sorry. Dave
  14. Thanks all, now sorted Dave
  15. Doc swears that it did, but he hasn't got any copies, not even a file copy. Like you I've never seen one.
  16. Been able to answer my own question as I have no found my original F/W pressing. The Original has all the stuff in Johns book and is a slightly brighter yellow with a strong sheen to the label. The first boot (mind unless someone heard direct from the label owner or band, who is to say, as it could have been pressed at two plants) is a slightly darker yellow and more matt, still a off centre label. Niether have Frankfurt Wayne stamps but one has F/w scratched. Now I do have a couple of Question If someone has one with a FW stamp, does that mean it was legit pressed twice ? Or does that also mean that the F/W pressing is a boot ? Here's my F/W copy to compare with the one I put up earlier Very little between them!!!!! mind the off center on the FW pressing is at the top, so to speak and at the bottom on the other. Dave
  17. Hi Guys Found one this morning, it looks like the real thing to me, but I can't find my copy to check. Off center label, but no Frankfurt Wayne stamp. I thought the boot were a brighter yellow than this. Anyone help Cheers Dave
  18. Helping out a non-computer friendly mate. So I'm not trying to make money on it, just sell to him at whatever price you guys would won't for it. The last few I had I sold for around £180-£200 Anyone got one they would let go. Cheers Dave
  19. See what your saying, but I think some records stay as keepers with most people. So they come over here and stay in peoples collections, quality records that most people don't get feed up with, that's why they keep on selling. Price does have something to do with it, didn't cost that much to buy and I wouldn't get much or any more for it if I sell it, so it's a keeper.
  20. Like many of us I watch Ebay regularly and I see some records that sell well time after time. Some start with high auction prices, then drop off fairly quickly, but there are some that sell year after year, never really changing their value. I'm not talking about big ticket rarest of the rare, but those mid priced 'true evergreens', eg Boddy Sheen - Something new to do, there must be two or three for sale every week on Ebay and they always sell in just about any condition between £30-£80. Willow Band - Willow man Ideals/Mighty Lovers - Mighty lover Garland Green - Ain't thatgood enough Jo Ann Garrett - Whole new plan etc, etc, their must be 100's if not 1000's of copies of some of these tunes over here but they keep on selling. What ones have you noticed and I know this may sound an obvious question, but why ??, what make a record a true evergreen ?
  21. Agree with all ' Classic Mix'
  22. Down to the last copy of Jim Coleman
