  1. Your right 2005 from what I can see.
  2. we have one on our site Cheers Dave
  3. I think part of your problem is that this record is freely availble from many sellers at $10-$20, do you check sites like Gemm, you will find it there. Cheers Dave
  4. Hi Steve I got the same three 45's sent to me this week from Joey King 'Fish'. Agree all three 45's are interesting in their different ways. Saw Joey & McKinley last week in Detroit they were on top form and excited about their new project. They have both been working at clubs around the city over the last few months, while we were there McKinley was also playing with blues man whose name currently escapes me, but anyway we all had a fun night out. McKinley also tell me he is going back into the studio with The Politicians soon.
  5. As with all of these list you are relying on the complier knowing everything, which he clearly doesn't, as most of us don't. Or as is often the case a publication asks someone to put together a list and someone says ' ask so and so, he is an expert in this' the said person takes up the challenge, but in reality his depth of knowledge is mainly in one area. He then does a scant bit of reseach, which is often only to support what he already thought he knew and you end up with these ill informed lists, as above. The list then quickly gets dismissed or is reused time and time again, depending on the readership. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
  6. He didn't I did a few years earlier and played for the first time at the Bamberg Weekender, I mentioned it to Andy and he tracked down a few more and sold them covered up, one to Marc, Lars and someone over here. When I first got it, I thought the horns reminded me of the Houston Outlaws, Ain't no telling
  7. It's been played in German as The Houston Outlaws for over four years Chalky. Marc got one two years ago from Andy Dyson, as did a couple of other lucky DJ when he turned a few copies up.
  8. I'm also waiting on a disc I won some time back. Hope he gets his life on the level soon. I wait in patience Dave

  10. Hi All This is a real long shot, but trying to find either the 45 or the 78 of this for it's writer in the U.S. They are 88 years old and have lost it in the last few years after a visit from a collector !!!! It is the only record from the many songs they wrote that they do not have, so trying to locate one for them, the track is Muriel Gaines & The Dixieaires - I know we will never meet again/After all - King 4111(45) Muriel Gaines & The Dixieaires - I know we will never meet again/After all - Queen 4111 (78) Thanks Dave
  11. Just to add a little more to this. Think she sold the one she found and no longer has one herself. She still sings in local Jazz clubs around the Toledo area. The Label owner Mr Clark, owned the local record store and recording studio, some time in the 70's he shot the local football coach and went to The Pen, after leaving there he disappeared. Was talking to some locals only last week, it seems that the record store passed on to another member of the family, but didn't last much longer. When the store closed all the stock was thrown into a dumpster, the building was then pulled down, when a new highway was built, the whole area is now a six lane highway.
  12. Credits look fantastic, but is it any good Ady ?
  13. Which vivilore jordan, as she has about 4 releases on different labels
  14. Sorry didn't read you question correctly, don't know of any other releases. Anyway that aside, hows tricks, have you found yourself a new job yet. Dave
  15. Hi Mate Hows tricks, Ari is your man, he speaks to him all the time. But Calvin has had a colourful life to say the least, and has traveled for many years 'light' so to speak, he has no product or any of his master tapes. We put him in touch with Bill Wright and Jim Stewart, the three hadn't spoken for many years. Cheers Dave
  16. Nice one that man
  17. and one went through The Bay for slightly less than that I think only a few weeks ago, unless this was the same copy and someone here thought they would make a bit on it.
  18. Don't want to be a spoil sport, but this is a great subject over a few beers with mates. Not sure it's a good one in the public domain, thinking taxman, wives or husbans reading this etc
  19. Have always done this and hold records until month end for wage day. Only get let down about once a year by a buyer, which isn't a bad percentage. Way back in the day when I'd go down to buy from John Anderson, often had to do this as my eyes were always bigger than my wallet John had this habit of letting you spend a day hunting the shelves then after he had priced that up, he would pull out a handful of things and say 'I also got these, have a listen and see what you think', bugger!!!! or if he was in a playful mood, he would wait until you were round the back of the racks and he put something awesome on the deck, bless him.
  20. Hi All wwwtopdogrecords.co.uk A few months ago we had a nice warehouse find in the deep south and got a hand full of each of the following titles all stone mint. 21. Morning to all those back at work, posted this over the weekend. Cheers Dave
  22. It seems that everyone I speak to in the U.S. say that record companies viewed his voice as to simular to Jerry Butler. What a problem to have, I would have thought that was a bonus, the oddities of the U.S. music industry.
