Can honestly say that was a great night, enjoyed all the dj's sets, really friendly place happy smiling faces, everyone having great time . My last visit I thought the dance floor was a bit sticky, so I waxed the soles of my brogues before hand, big mistake the floor had been cleaned & polished back to its former glory , felt like a penguin with 2 broken legs ! Been invited to play a few tunes next month , so see you then , so long as we are not in the middle of a revolution! -

Been attending on & off since you started as a soul night Mark , I've got to be there on last night , & what a night it's gonna be, I'm a soppy soulie, walking down those stairs for the last time gonna be tough for sure x

Aye m8 I know , where the M 69 starts , had a bloody mere with the 69 being shut last Saturday trying to get to Nuneaton got lost on way back trundling around country lanes in the wee small hours , such fun !

I've reviewed Nuneaton niter man it were jumping . Since we have been let out to play again , being from Nottingham I've been out locally to , Festival at Trowell, Basford miners (creepers) , Underwood miners , near J 21 M 1 , Soldier's & Sailors, Long Eaton , & Swinton traveled up with young Sam Moore, everywhere everyone's been up for it ! Can't wait for this weekend , now then where shall I go ?

Many thanks to you Mark & all your supporting acts down the years , Mark always says bring a clean top , one's no good I normally get through three ! As the man says see you at the go go , & as Frank Elson used to say back in the day keep the friendship!

Personally i regard northern soul as a retro scene , a hip happening scene it ain't, stopped being that decades ago surely, just a way of having a laugh, I'm in my 65th year & I'm lucky enought to be fit & when I go out I celebrate that fact . Rare/deep soul now that's a different matter , Doris Duke 'I don't care anymore ' boy oh boy anyone that's ever had their heart broken try & keep it together whilst listening to that !

Ktf means to me a protection of civil rights . I remember being shocked & moved to drop a few tears when Martin Luther king jnr was assassinated , I was appalled at Muhammad Ally's treatment , & disgusted at appartide. I didn't understand what John Carlos & Tommie Smith were doing at Mexico. But when I started reading blues & soul circa 71 & Dave Godin's column then the penny dropped, the clenched fist , keep the faith , keep on keeping on ,right on brothers & sisters, this was a message to soul artists , we love your music, your soul reachers our soul , carry on your struggle for equality. AND WE WILL KEEP THE FAITH FOREVER .
