    Brilliant, hot on the floor because of the weather , I love it ! Hot because of the dj's passion for their record collections , when a person as took decades to gather tunes it really shows out on the floor , dancers are not merely going through the motions , they are actually in harmony with the DJ , to me this is the very essence of northern soul , of music in general without a good conductor there's no orchestra! Be Young Be Foolish But Be Happy .

    Said to myself while back no soul night was gonna achieve 5 stars , no such thing as perfect , that din't last long ! Feel very smug this morning not supposed to to be going out & having a brilliant time at my age , the weather the people the dance floor the dancers the DJ's the friendly reception, everything just came together, shit hot !

    You beat me to it Gaz I'm still knackered from last nite , awesome again , we are truly blessed in this part of the world great people , great venues , dance floors to die for, dj's playing the tunes we love . Special mention for Simon the last spot of the night he absolutely smashed it , short straw that, pulled some soul sounds out his box that's for sure , everyone with legs left were on the floor till the end , can't wait for next month great line up again!     Old miners welfare of Bilsthorpe 1st time for me , why did I wait so long ? Venue 10 out 10 put a smile on my face as i approached. Greeting 10, Bar & staff 10, floor , well some venues claim to have the best floor , ever , you don't I've just danced on it , as I walked in front of the stage my heart skipped a beat my leather soles said hey man this is special . Looks like it's not a moved a millimetre since it was laid 50yrs ago totally flat & true , awesome a big fat 10 . Music ? Does what it says on flier, plenty big tunes anthems etc, would like to hear few under played myself & don't like DJ's talking over the end of records , & don't need to be told this ones from Wigan ,Torch, Wheel , we know already, love you all still, tough up there your only getting a 9 ! Like Arnie I'll be back ! If you'll have me ! KOKO.

    I'm home a lot earlier than I thought I would be , because of two things , for the 1st time ever I won a raffle ! Bottle of wine , went to put it in my bag to take home & had it took off me by the venue owner for bringing alcohol into the venue ! Then told to leave ! Lol . Loads of bottles of alcohol to be won so not sure all winners were ejected din't hang around to find out . I'm a peace loving man , don't do confrontation , they'll be another dance floor on another nite , but not here, total over reaction , supposed to be a charity event ! For goodness sake .

    After all the excitement & passion of the weekend & Forest making it to the premiership, its time for my other passion northern soul & believe me this nite will be premier league Pete & his team always delivers. From the beginning blackhearts as been bang on , come on let's pack it & raise lots of dosh for this worthy cause. KOKO.

    Awesome night in main room out of this world dancing to hard edged northern soul , but what more the 2nd room classic soul , that room was buzzing man , kept nipping in there what a vibe , 60tys 70tys chart soul , motown , drifters , Atlantic, nice to see so many peeps having a vibrant time , on my calendar for next month

    Received a warm welcome for my short visit at this incredible venue , tonage of tunes played, if I had a similar box of records like those I heard I'm sure I would hire a surcurity guard to accompany me ! I'll see you next time & I'll try to squeeze my frame on to the floor !

    My 1st visit , not sure about the tv's I dint like em at Kings Hall Stoke & stopped going , but , I prefer em to a box full of pressings ! I assume good dj's play from long accumulated collections , c u 2moz

    So sorry I wasn't there for your last night Carl ,out having a few beers & watching my beloved Nottm Forest . I will be out at all dayer today & when im out on the floor I will thinking about all the aches & pains , blisters , sore feet , aye sometimes bloody anorl, you gave me trying to keep up with you !     Welcome return of this alldayer , don't think I've missed one since the beginning. Nearest thing you'll find to the big dayers back in the 70tys , if you not been it's a must do . I'll will be spending some time in rare room by the look of it , rare public appearance by Mark Hopes can't be bad . Let's hope the amount raised beats the previous record for this worthy charity. Keep the faith my friends, oh & come you trickies ! Come on you Stags !

    Awesome, wish there was a way of collecting the energy in that room it could pay my energy bills for a long time .Arrived at 9 45 pm got home at 3 30 am , live local, enough for this 65yrs old body , back ache ,feet sore as,slightly revived with chicken sandwich & glass of red ! Thanks guys for putting this on & all attending, DJ's too, cross section of devotees to please . Let me strees this is my personal choice, as I like underplayed left field upfront call em what you like tunes . Hammie awesome set, & Jordan take a bow my son ,shit hot , 1st time I've heard Bobbettes happy go lucky me for a long time , & Lillian Dupree hide & seek that made me turn around & have one more dance .What a tune ! Way to go ! Hundreds of tunes like this that need dusting off . Having a dayer today at mine & will playing some more em . Love you all , keep on keeping ! Martin x
