  1. I reckon if I had the money I would of bought it, slight skip or not. If a white demo comes up would buy that as well and move the issue on....all a dream of course....like you Frankie, will stick with my 70,s boot....Rob
  2. Will be there...had some amazing nights at the co/op.....won't miss the last one....Make sure Mr Ford is there as he was at the start....thank you....Rob
  3. Excellent post....people have always talked about cost...rightly or wrongly, but folk always have...mind you, equally, the people I knock about with also say..I picked this up for £10...have a listen.. great record!! Which is how it should be...at some of the rare under played nights you will listen to beauties at very little cost...thank you..Rob
  4. Steve... I've not been buying for a couple of years or so, and the prices now are nuts....even at half price I would think it's very expensive mate. Good luck to all involved if there happy....thank you....Rob
  5. Is Edwin Starr at nearly 1k massively expensive???? I know it's the demo in good condition but is this a realistic price??? Massively inflated?? Genuine question. Seems a bloody fortune to me but it's an expensive game....thank you....Rob
  6. Why not.....probably 3k in 6 months?? I paid £110 for Sam Dees, over the odds at the time...if you want it, pay it, and get the bloody thing!!!....thank you....Rob
  7. Heard everyone of these guys play....all excellent, All can play an oldies set, a rare under played set and anything else in between...exactly what you want for me on a night out....thank you....Rob
  8. Professionals, brilliant you definitely got stung at £120!! My absolute favourite record ever, it has everything!!.......Rob
  9. And.....Betty Wilson is a cracking record but that's a hefty price...someone must of wanted it badly! Good luck to them....dunno where they find the money from....Rob
  10. Was just typing to ask the same thing...'just because' is a great record to my ears...Rob
  11. I'd of said £5,000 on Mr Manships as well, nice copy. Wouldn't surprise me at all if it went for way more though....I get shocked every week with prices...Rob
  12. Couldn't agree more....there is a massive amount of nob heads with zero social skills everywhere...some people are just self obsessed, selfish, narcissists....I do think if you choose your events wisely you can still find good like minded people who are there for the music.....thank you Rob
  13. I'm classed as "long time"....made the wife chuckle.....Rob
  14. Thank you for replying...I thought they seemed very expensive but as long as everyone's happy, good luck to them.....Rob
  15. I don't claim to be an expert on prices and probably a bit out of touch as I don't (not much anyway) collect any more...but...is Johnny Gilliam £722, and Sheila Ferguson £700 anywhere near what they go for?? Good luck to the sellers and JM, this is just a general enquiry to those who know far more than me...thank you...Rob
  16. Sold a servicemen sweet magic/Connie for £1000 with a ¼" crack in it. Was audible, although my friends said they could barely hear it. Think the guy was sending it some where to be repaired?? Was about 2 or 3 years ago.....Thank you...Rob
  17. Not sure of the magnetics correct value, but what a record, superb!!! Thank you....Rob
  18. Thank you for posting....hmmm only 98% on drugs....what were the 2% up to!!.........Rob
  19. Great thread!!! I think everyone has had some mad experiences....a couple that spring to mind (won't mention where and dj,s) #1 the line up on the decks was superb and expecting plenty of rare records played...turned into a Motown night for the !ocals...there is playing to the f!oor.... but it was advertised as a northern do with top dj,s playing....#2 arrived at a working men's club, lots of windows boarded up and my mate who was driving his 60k company car crapping himself!!!...bucket catching the water from the leak in the roof as you walked through the door...was a great night!!....Keith Money was playing his brilliant mid tempo records...cheap beer, friendly but a tad scary with the locals....just as it should be!!!...thank you...Rob P.s didn't mention dj,s from the 1st event I mentioned.
