I agree...but that is proper money for a record....rare and fantastic, but not many have the money to spend nearly 5k on a record..(or a piece of plastic as the wife calls it) ...if I had the money this would be snapped up immediately!!!....thank you..Rob

I've read every post and feel sorry for all parties.....Jim the poor bugger got butted and as we know this isn't what happens at soul do's!....Mr Roberts (kev) is running the longest running all nighter, best attended, soul do in the country..To the best of my knowledge. I've been a few times and as a spectacle it's amazing!..and I once saw someone kicked out for being a nuisance, (drunken idiot).. good job by the doorman from what I saw....unfortunately you can't allow for these people...you get them at every club, pub, nightclub and soul do in the country...and it's a pain in the arse to the punters, promoters and doormen!....the flip side is how many people had the time of there lives? Hundreds I would imagine...I'm sure this incident has been taken on board and there is no need by anybody to be personally insulting to each other...we love the same thing!....kind regards to all......Rob

Hmmmm...I would imagine/like to think there is no side to this...surely can't be the same records....of all the people to have a few copies, Tim Brown would be the one Who might have....we have spoke before about transparency of auctions, and to be fair, like it or not, John manships is the fairest...others seem, shall we say, not as good?.....Rob

I agree totally...I would love to read what he has to say....yes definitely been a shit bag to some....but it's without doubt a massive part of Northern soul history....if you read the history of our royal family, it's not the most savoury thing you will ever look at, and there the head of the bloody country!!...thank you..Rob

One went last week on e.bay for £329 or there abouts...label crap but vinyl ex.....the one just sold had an ex label but played with background noise to start and a few seconds of noise halfway through.....can't beat an extra £400 for a nice label.........Rob

Sold my 70's boot of lillie Bryant-Meet me halfway a couple of months ago for £72!....amazed!..happy but amazed...this was on e-bay of course....need to have a good look...def a got a magicians (servicemen) on chartmaker....and loads of others...bloody mad to be fair......Rob

I see...that's why they are different colours..I think the later one has 1980 under or between song title and artists name. No idea if this is reflective of year or just a number refering to something totally different.....thank you....Rob

If memory serves me right....its a 70s re-issue again by James Hendrix on the Carrie label...he did the same with Edward Hamilton-im gonna love you as well....ive got the green one same as you, great record...like you say shame it's not on the Orange label, but an affordable way to own it, and not a boot.....kind regards....Rob
