  1. Looking forward to seeing what you post after more rummageing.....very interesting.....thank you....Rob
  2. Even if there not for sale. if someone offers you an AMAZING price you would sell. If not why show off...never seen /heard of this before......I'm not about every week like you guys, but find this a little strange......funny though to me, bless em...why would you?
  3. suppose it depends what glue is on it....wood glue could probably be taken off with soapy water or the wood glue method would pull it out, as suggested by Rich......if it's more sinister super glue, evo stick type stuff your gonna need something a lot stronger to take it off...an acetone type stuff perhaps?....could be detrimental to your vinyl though....good luck and if successful, will be interested to know the result......kind regards.....Rob
  4. would you get max £ from auctioning it through mr manship, he takes 20% but the skys the limit as Jack Montgomery shown in the last week or so......take offers on here for a week or so, you can decide then if it's reached its potential giving updates on offers so far etc. Or stick it set sale with very nearest offer.....worlds your oyster!.......I offer 2 specimen bonsai trees!.....good luck matey, a fantastic record........kind regards......Rob p.s I hope I've got this right and you are selling, not looking to buy.
  5. I concur with that, a fine album and a good choice imo......Rob
  6. ha-ha......I've stopped starting from seeds and I'm 44, worried I won't see them mature.....god bless the old Dad....(sorry if off topic)...Rob
  7. If anyone's interested I could trade a couple of bonsai trees for a servicemen single!.....god I've got some strange interests/passions!!.....Rob
  8. thank you chalky.....the four voices, near as damn it 2k on jm's, another fantastic double sider.....I fancy this would go close to that price on his auction (just as good imo), and think most people selling privately, soul do's etc would want a grand minimum cash. I'm no expert and listen to you guys who know far more than me........Rob
  9. ha-ha! Never thought of it like that...I sell, tell people, then they tell me I'd of never of sold that!....my friends know what I own...please tell me prior to any of my sales!!....to be fair they get sold on to finance other records, and my soul buddy's are top people!....Rob
  10. I'd of had that!.....I'm also garbage at selling, guaranteed after two weeks of off loading my records they go massive every where!..Rob
  11. as prices go at the minute, £1200 for this record is a bargain, fantastic record!......Rob
  12. I'm afraid it's a no from me.....don't you just love people....good spot though. Made me chuckle.......Rob
  13. with today's prices possibly more....great double sider...connie is an awesome record as well (my favourite of the two sides).....Rob.
  14. Is the soul scene really taking off more now in Europe?....do you guys (Mr Rimmer) play different stuff out there?...do they like more r&b, oldies etc or more open to every aspect of soul...great thread and very interested to know...thank you...Rob
  15. that's the figure we put on it....because it's fetched this much on jm's auction, do you think it will now sell for more when seen on e-bay, from other dealers, record bars etc?.......Rob
  16. Was discussing this with some of the lads why it was still for auction.....it was roughly £350 at the time..we said 'watch this go for £500, bloody madness'...never in a million years did we think it would go for over £800....absolute bloody madness!....fantastic record though.....kind regards..Rob
  17. your memory is fantastic my friend!, and I realy enjoy your input into the threads you write in....thank you...Rob
  18. Was this big at Middleton all nighter?.....I may of totally made that up!....just thought I heard it some where....thank you..Rob
  19. A fantastic record in my opinion....and it's not played out that much from my experiences at soul do's....I'm not a weekly nighter goer etc, but I'm surprised this isn't a massive must have (oldie) by now.....I'm sure the guys and girls on here will tell us...a very good post and I'm interested to hear what people say....thank you...Rob
  20. Spot on again chalky.....some of your genuinely rare, lots of people don't know?...I think anyway...that's why sometimes you can pick these kind of things up...got a Paul Smith...I'll run (original...research again) for £38...off e.bay last month...it's got 1 cm unaudible tight crack in.....but for that money I don't mind....plays great....thank you ...Rob
  21. absolutely spot on that summary, and it can't be compared to epitome of sound, far rarer. Patience and research, well done!.....good luck to you....Rob
  22. There was a 4 pack bundle vg+ with this included in it on Friday by dobber...£150 for them all....dunno if it's still for sale...good luck....Rob
  23. Hmmmm, could be, Jay D plays with much better clarity on the vocal than the David Thomas record but there is a similarity...even asked the wife she she thought they sounded similar.....I have a dreadful ear for this sort of thing so don't take much notice of me.....interesting though Pete, thank you for sharing.......Rob
  24. Bloomin eck!.....imagine it if it takes off over there.....it's a seriously big place!....good luck and I hope it goes massive for all those involved.....kind regards...Rob
