  1. I have bought both of these first West Grand releases, Sorry but I found IMO the sound quality bass heavy and the clarity/cleaness of vocals slightly lacking. I do own the orig Tammi Terrell vinyl LP and heard earlier unofficial white label releases of Reconsider. I have been a user and enthusiast of monitor qualiry hifi since the very early 70s and can't blame the equipment used.

  22. Yes a good sound just how I like my northern Soul with a hard edge like Otis Clay
  23. Hi, this was a fairly big record in the Twisted Wheel around 1968 (I was there). I actualy own the origonal UK Cameo Parkway disc that was used there (bought from Brian Philips if my memory serves me well) it has evidence of it being covered up at the time and prbably cost me a whopping £4 back in the day.
  24. Buy it now records on eBay or Discogs are generally on there for ages before they may sell. Most people seem to think they'll be on there for ever with no rush to buy then when they do sell the messages come 'did you sell that' or 'I really wanted that let know if the buyer backs out'. At least on auction they sell sometimes at a price that pleases me and at other times I'm disappointed. They're often bought by dealers that are happy to sit on them for a while. The person that pays the highest finishing price doesn't really set the value bench mark as the record could just be currently in demand. Most big dealers will frequent the big nights with their sales boxes and keep an ear and eye on the dancefloor to asses reactions to a play that gets them up which then will see that record be in instant high demand. Its personal choice but in recent years genuine UK 60s demos have soared in value as they're safe bets to keep their value irrespective of whether or not a reissue has come out.
  25. All shelving and units etc becomes a pain if you come to recarpet or decorate. Personally I prefer lockable flight cases made by good companies like Swann or 5 star cases. Beware of some brands that have hinges riveted into the board rather than having rivets into the aluminium edge extrusion as it should be.
