  1. Correct one of the great Groovesville acetates that Tim Ashibende found, from memory Richard got that along with "the harder you love" (also by D.Banks)& the Jackie Beavers track "come back to me" From the same haul I got Darrel Banks "I'm the one who loves you" (slightly longer version) Dramatics "You're love was strange" (diff take) Willie Hatcher "Searching" Unknown artist "You were meant for me" Holidays "Easy Living" I think Sam got "that's why I love you" (diff take)
  2. Sad very sad......
  3. I just found a scan on the net it appears "don't be afraid" is the plug side and is usually a double a side promoI've got the album and love the "I want to to be were you are" cut I had always assumed it to be LP only, I guess its one of the many rare issue only copies that appeared during that period on epic and Columbia Triode
  4. Any chance of a Scan........
  5. Very difficult to compile a short list Some who stand out in no particular order Dave Withers/Rod Shard neither get the recognition they truly deserve Butch for setting the standard whilst remaining one of the lads Steve Whittle for his professional & honest approach Tim Ashibende for his massive knowledge that he freely shares Plus many many more........ 15. Personally I would suggest you start with a good turntable ie SL1200/1210 if you shop around you can pick up used ones at good prices and just about every part of them can be replaced so they last forever then build around the turntable I have looked at so many system were the weakest link is a poor turntable Good luck Emidisc
  16. I thought the Combinations was covered as The Chessmen "like I never did before" & the Royal Esquires was covered as The Embers "Playing the part of a fool" Could be wrong ? .......Where's Flynny when you need him. Triode

  21. Saw it last night & it's very good and worth seeing, has previously mentioned by others it's pretty "dark" in parts and I thought some of the Nutters looked very familiar! The 2 male lead actors I thought were superb and did a very good job in fact all the young actors/dancers were spot on and certainly gave me a few spine tingling moments with them on the dance floor! 9/10 from me Triode
  22. Totally agree mine arrived this morning and the sound quality is top notch.....take note Universal! and well done to secret stash ...keep em coming
  23. I have owned this a couple of times and never realised the vocal similarity to Patrice Holloway ? could well be something that left Jobete's west coast set up via the back door like many others......
