  1. There's an Ernie Hines acetate on the bay at the moment which ain't too bad. Just thought I'd mention it
  2. Well, has it?
  3. Who does the other version of She'll be leaving you?
  4. Have you seen the Shotts anniversary DVD done by Andy Dennison? Really catches how cutting edge this club was with outstanding sounds. Andy posts on here as Dennisoul, maybe he could sort you a copy.
  5. There ya go......
  6. Jock, I've not had a chance to get back yet so I'm hoping its still in the window of the Oxfam shop at..... ,that's as much info as you get, plenty to choose from in Edinburgh!! Hoping to go to Hampden on Tuesday, I'm sure I'll see you there as we won't get lost in the crowd!!!! Cheers, Mark.
  7. Cheers Mark, I'll pick it up in the morning
  8. Seen the Esquires Get on up and get away London LP for £20 in a charity shop window tonight. Should I get back there sharpish or keep my couple of tenners?????????
  9. Deadbeats - No Second Chance is always for sale on Gemm. I would bet there is a fair stash of them in the dealers hands. Also, Debonairs Come Back Baby was(is?) readily available from a well known US dealer. I bought a Debonairs, even if there are plenty available, the price was not too deadly at $400 for a record I'd wanted for years. I always reckon unless something turns up in mass quantity, like say Danny Moore, then these finds are absorbed and the records disappear again. On the subject of Danny Moore, what a happy day when that dropped through my letter box for sixty quid!! One of those records that I'd thought I would never get. Makes you kind of greedy when that happens, now roll on the mass find of Eric Mercury, Court Davis, Tina Roberts....
  10. Great record in my opinion. Look at how the bidding went in the final seconds of the auction, from $2000 then two snipers went in with bids over $5000. Maybe someone got a bit of a suprise at how much of thier maximum was used in the sniper bid!!
  11. I'm trying to get Dean Anderson's show on boundary sound web site and can't seem to get it. last record heard was Catatonia, not Dean's usual material!!! Anyone got this logged on?????

  15. My copy of Emanon's Orchestra "Bird Walkin'" on All Brothers is vinyl with issue number and Virtue etched in deadwax. Is it real and do they all start with the piano intro sounding like the rcord is pressed a little off centre? Cheers, Mark.
  16. I could weep reading that  I sold my Mel Williams, a mint minus rarer demo, on ebay about 18 months ago, only got 3 bids and it went for £350 ish. I regretted it afterwards and was dissapointed with the price, not as much as I'm fucking dissapointed now Just goes to show, some you win blah, blah.........
  17. Anyone see what the acetate of "Down in the dumps" went for??? About 45 mins before closing it was only about £550 which seemed very cheap. Are there any other original acetates of this?? Cheers, Mark.
  18. Still got the one you sold me Cliff , (and keeping it mate, sorry!) Only ever seen one other for sale, rare one for sure.
  19. Never met the bloke but have bought some top notch records from him, always been first class to deal with.
  20. Bought blind in late 80's from the states Kell Osborne " Little Darling" Cenco. Anticipation was intense, "this is gonna be a discovery, Quicksand is a monster, Turbines is getting played at Shotts, Shades of Jade, too", I'm thinking to myself, will I keep it or sell it to a top DJ to unleash this-sure-to-be a monster tune??? When is the postie gonna deliver this disc ??? Then it arrived, ah well
