  1. Morning everyone,

For those who were asking about parking at Billingtons Ballroom during yesterday’s all-dayer in Wigan:

    Option 1:
There's a car park right next door that's open all day and night, but only has a maximum stay of 4 hours. The cost is £2.90 for the full four hours, and you can pay by cash or contactless card.

    Option 2:
If you're planning to stay longer, for the duration of the day - there's another option at 26 Queen St, Oldham, OL1 1RD. Parking there costs £3.00 for 5 hours or £4.50 for up to 12 hours, and it’s open 24 hours. This car park is just a 4-minute walk away, and also accepts cash and contactless payments.

Without sounding trite is really is an honour to get the opportunity to play historic venues like the raven. Hope if can offer some quality tunes for the floor.

Be great to catch up there!

  2. Driving to us? The handiest parking spot is at Port Street. Pop the address Port St, Manchester M1 2EQ into your satnav. You'll find three car parks there, all offering better rates than the NCPs! Plus, right across the street, there's Port Street Beer House, where most people meet for a drink before the stroll down to Aatma.

  4. We're thrilled to announce that Jake Rigby will be our guest DJ for the 4th edition of The Room at The Top on Saturday 4th May! Jake is a fantastic guy whose DJ skills have flourished through years of being active in both the soul and scootering scenes. He's been spinning tunes on both circuits, drawing from his deep-rooted love for music that began when he attended soul events with his parents at a young age, eventually carving his own path collecting original vinyl.

Recently, our friend Jon Allan described Jake on Facebook as one of the scene's most underrated DJs. Inspired by this, we couldn't resist showcasing Jake's talent for igniting the dance floor by having him as our guest DJ at Room at The Top Soul Club!

The Skidde ticket link will be available soon to secure your tickets.

Remember, we sold out last time, so don't miss out on this unforgettable night!

  5. Hey everyone!

We are all really excited for tomorrow night's 3rd edition of 'The Room at The Top'! We thought we would share some details, especially for our first-time attendees:

Doors Open at 11pm: Unfortunately, we can't open the doors open any earlier due to the space being occupied by four bands earlier in the evening. We'll be getting things ready at 10:30pm, ensuring the equipment is sorted, and the dance floor is cleaned and prepped!

Pre-Party Spot: If you're looking for a pre-party spot, head over to MG Blues 5th Anniversary All-Dayer at The English Lounge, Manchester, M4 1EA. Most folks are gathering here before our doors open at 11pm.

Dress to Dance: Get ready to turn up the heat! It's going to be hot, hot, hot, so dress accordingly and be prepared to dance!

Limited Seating: Seating is limited, but feel free to grab a spot along the front of the stage. We'll be rearranging the decks to create more space for everyone.

Ticket Reminder: Please, please, please don't forget to get a ticket! As of now, we have just ONE ticket left. No tickets will be available at the door, and entry without a wristband is a no-go for safety reasons. Let's avoid any disappointment at the entrance.

Toilet Locations: For those who were on a quest for the toilets last time, unisex toilets are located near the dance floor, and on the 3rd floor of Attama, you'll find separate male and female facilities.

Get ready for an incredible night! Let's make it a night to remember! 🎉🕺💃

Thanks for the invite to Blackburn Soul Club - Really am looking forward to coming here and spinning some 45s!

Hopefully can pull together an interesting spot - Roll on the 2nd of March!!

  7. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for the second installment of 'The Room At The Top.' It's hard to put into words how incredible it feels to be a part of promoting such a refreshing event like this. Saturday night demonstrated how cities like Manchester are currently experiencing an amazing resurgence in young people being interested in soul music!

We were also so happy to have many long-distance travelers with us, including friends from Bristol, Scotland, Sheffield, Blackpool, and Wigan! Varying ages and at different points in their soul music journey - all gathered under one roof! The way it should be!

Our two guest DJs, Ben Owen and Sam McEwen, absolutely rocked the place too! They delivered an incredible mix of music, spanning from classic Northern Soul 'oldies' to funky edge dancers and Motown spins. Ben, who hadn't been behind the decks for a while, truly set the bar high!

We will return on Saturday 24th February next year, and we're thrilled to announce that our guest DJ will be our good friend Nathan Pickard.

Keep an eye out for ticket availability as we get closer to the date!
