  1. Sean I presume you well-heeled chaps will be residing in The Peabody when staying in Memphis. Following the ducks down the red carpet on your way out for a night in Beale Street Pat
  2. Agree Steve - Drip feeding's the best way to digest them individually. Not using that as an excuse for not sending mine out yet; got the playlist sorted subject to a few tweaks and also waiting for postie to deliver something special for your listening enjoyment Pat

  11. WILSON WILLIAMS - I LIKE BEING IN LOVE WITH YOU - ABC 1978 Here you go Russ, I've posted up my favourite dancer from the LP, which I suspect is right up your passage. There's also some great ballads on it as well. One of the other dancefloor tracks - I Think It's Gonna Work Out Fine is already in Refosoul. THIS CLIP DOES NOT WORK, PLEASE REFER TO THE POSTING THREE BELOW TO HEAR THIS.
  12. Current value on this please chaps ? Pat
  13. Vanessa Williams - A different sort of 'talent', was the first African American woman to be crowned Miss America in 1983 Checkout the cover of her 1991 Album The Comfort Zone - She was a proper sort then
  14. I've owned this record for years and coincidently posted it in the Crossover thread a few weeks ago. What I love about it is the 'Southern' feel despite it's Detroit roots and at dead on 2 minutes long leaves the listener wanting more. Ian Clarke also reviewed it in an Shades Of Soul from 1996 to much aplomb - that alone gives it pedigree. Before searching on Gemm I guessed it would be a 30 quid tune and there is only one there at about that price. Still a difficult one to price though for the reasons Sean outlined. I would hang on to it Nev as it's threads like these that start a buzz on underrated / unknown records. Pat
