Warm your cockles on November 9th with an evening of sensational soul music in the heart of Stoke Newington with the return of StOkeh Soul Club, dedicated to the very best of Northern Soul, Motown and a dab of 60's RnB. Joining resident DJ Glen Goodwin on the decks are 2 great DJ's; Andrea Butcher and Richard Corbyn, formerly of that great soul club 'The State We're in' and now entertaining East Anglia with 'Soul On The Naze'. A fantastic evening beckons!

July..... mid summer (if we ever get any) and StOkeh Soul Club is back for the usual mix of top draw Northern Soul, Motown & 60's Rnb with resident DJ Glen Goodwin joined by regular stalwarts of our great club; Ian Jackson & Jon Dabner need no real introduction since both have been entertaining soul loving crowds for years. Add to that a great sound system, wooden dancefloor and a great bar!

The return of StOkeh Soul Club for another night of classic soul. Joining resident DJ Glen on the decks are 2 outstanding guests; Daniel Watkins of Crawdaddy and the fantastic Jon Clay for their 1st spots since StOkeh Soul Club was born. Mascara Bar is a really cool venue with a good dance floor, aircon, quality drinks at good prices and a brilliant sound system

Since the launch of StOkeh Soul Club back in August we have worked hard to bring you some of the best DJ's on the Northern scene and some of the best up and coming future stars. February is no exception as we have 2 great guests for you; Tony Smith is most definitely amongst the very best, with years of collecting, a vast collection and an eye for filling a dance floor. Keith Lloyd has also been impressing the crowds at Folkestone Soul Club plus is a great supporter of many soul events, especially in London & the south. Joining Glen Goodwin on the decks will be the mighty duo of Brian & Tina Lindsay to entertain us throughout the night. As the holiday season ends, its time to get out, about and dancing to keep the summer in our hearts. September sees the next StOkeh Soul Club that should just do the trick. To share great tunes with our loyal soul music friends and to educate the young music lovers, you will find awesome soul music from early doors to early hours. Our guests for September really takes some beating; Shaun Arnold really needs no introduction. He has an amazing record collection which he shares regularly at Walls Of Heartache and lots of other clubs across London. Ian Jackson likewise is hugely liked and respected and been on the scene for many years, and also has an immense collection of tunes. Resident DJ is Glen Goodwin known in the past for the legendry Hole In The Wall soul Club

Our guest this month, long overdue a return to our decks is David Harris - veteran DJ and gentle giant who's roster of soul events includes Stolen Hours, Luton Soul Club and Detroit a Go-Go to name but 3. We are looking forward to see him back. Can you believe that by the next Stax Of Soul we will be 1/6th of the way to Christmas! We might still be in the grip of winter at the next night, but the music will warm your soulful heart. And then there is the venue - a proper east end pub with great team behind the bar, great pizza if you are early enough, wooden dance floor and great beer prices.

So as we race into the New Year, the days start to lengthen, and the post Xmas blues need to be finally banished as we look towards the Spring, lets kick it off with a blast of great soul music! Remember that The Royal Sov has now hosted this event for many years, it is a proper East End pub, has a good wooden dancefloor, great bar team, and smashing pizza if you are early enough. This month, joining resident DJ Glen Goodwin we have the fabulous Tina Lindsay (one half of the Lindsay crew that bring us 'Spoonful' and 'From the Floorboards Up'. As an added bonus we have an early set from 'gentleman' Matt King!
