    Just to say a big thank you to everyone who came down to the Polish club yesterday, we had approx 180 generous people attending. A long but successful day where we raised £1,265 for the British Heart Foundation in memory of Neil Horsman and Maureen Reedy. A real team effort. Great spots by the DJ's on the day John Mitchell Paul Taylor Linda Miller Wayne Butterworth Ronnie Hanley Alan Massey Dennis Black Alan Reedy and last but certainly not least Stevie Hay who provided the equipment for the day. All the DJ's gave their time for free. A big thanks to the bar staff, will we do this again at the Polish club, who knows! Watch this space.

  9. A massive thank you to everyone for making Sunday great day. Thanks to the guest dj's for keeping the dancefloor moving, some noteable tunes, Stevie Hay with the Drifter and Big Don's Rebellion, Andy Mccabe with the Del Larks and Sam Williams, Kev Murphy with Lester Tipton and Ree Flores and not forgetting co promoter Pete Eccles with the Hytones and the Constellations. I could go on but those were just some of the great tunes played yesterday. Always the second Sunday of the month offering different dj's bringing different sounds to keep it real and fresh. Take care and hope to see you next month (see 10th October listing)

The Carlton Club is on Bury Old Road on the main route from Manchester to Prestwich, (135 Bus Service) and just 5 minutes walk from Heaton Park Metrolink Station

  17. Many thanks to everyone who came down yesterday to make it a successful event after the long Covid hiatus, great to see friends again and make some new ones. A big thanks to Stuart McIntyre and Helen McKernan who established the day some time ago and great to see you both yesterday. A big thanks to Linda for looking after the door. A big thanks to all the DJ's who played some great stuff hard to remember all the great music but Wellsy with his Tommy Bush and the Enchantments, Paul Eatough with the Jimmy Fraser and Turley Richards, resident Pete Eccles with his usual great mix including Constellations, Gene Woodbury, Lonnie Lester etc were just some of them. Last but not least a big thanks to Carl and Maria Willingham, who I know had a late one on Saturday with their trip to Wembley! A great set including the Admirations, Phonetics, John and the Weirdest, Terry Callier, Pat Lewis etc. great stuff! Next one Sunday the 12th of September
