  2. Thanks Adam, it's a bugger when this happens! Re - The 45 Has shot up in price over last couple of years? Was £30-£40 but now seems to be edging upwards? Have seen it go for £60+ recently. Quality tune - Wish I had a box full!!!!!!! Hope this helps? Cheers Steve

  13. I have the Tom Brock LP for sale here www.soulmusic.co.uk/LP_List.htm at £40 I also have 'I Love you and More and More' on a 45 at £30 Cheers Steve
  14. I have the Flyers LP on a Bulgarian label - As I can read fook all from the sleeve notes I always thought they were a Bulgarian band? Good to know they were German after all this time and I didn't know there was a 45 til now either! Yep, Ged Lunt was responsible for whispering this tip in the ears of the North West jocks many years ago (Don't know where he heard it first, maybe Steve Jackson?)! Sean Robbins & Bob Smith also got onto it a couple of years ago and gave it another lease of life on their radio show too! Not the best record in the world imho BUT worthy of a spin now and then methinks? Cheers Steve
  15. There's at least 3 on ebay at the moment (maybe 4?) (None are mine by the way ) Think folks have cottoned on to the current demand for it? A search should throw them up? Cheers Steve
  16. https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZachangedman A few funky bits, some pressings, some LP's (Kent etc) Got a few old 70's Northern pressings to go up in the next few days too, Williams & Watson, Caswell, Malibus, Prince George etc etc Cheers Steve
  17. Was rooting round in the garage at dinner and guess what? I found a spare copy on Phil-A-of-Soul Yellow issue in ex nick I know a couple of folks above had spares so i'm sure deals are being done as we speak........so if anyone else wants one, please cross my palm with £30 plus £2 postage (UK) and it'll be yours? PLMK Steve
  18. I don't know the answer to your question Bob but I do know that Cynthia is a great 45 and can be picked up relatively cheaply too
  19. Totally agree I have to settle with having it on the Jap 'Mitty Collier & friends' LP Oh and a Grapevine demo too Actually, Sam started his set at the Orwell in Bury the other week with it! He has a real 'un now as he used to play it from the Jap LP back in the day too! Cheers Steve
  20. There's at least 3 on ebay at the moment (maybe 4?) (None are mine by the way ) Think folks have cottoned on to the current demand for it? A search should throw them up? Cheers Steve
  21. You little monkey Sean, had 'em all dangling on that one Yep 'She's gone' has had some 'ammer over the last year or so at the qualidy venues. Definitely a take on 'Somebody' but i think it's fairly recent, rather than as you said, late 90's? I might be wrong as i haven't got the CD in front of me but i thought it was circa 2005? Anyone confirm? Cheers Steve
  22. Best post of this thread IMHO - Nice one Maria
  23. The Jap boot James is referring to (from memory) doesn't have any reference to Japan on the label but it is on the 'yellow' Globe label, so it's pretty easy to tell the difference? imho I reckon the Jap boot is 50-75 and the orig! 'orange' Guinness label 125-150 Cheers Steve
  24. You cheeky monkey Mr Rounce I think stockpiling a bit rich for PT?..............found less than I have fingers on one hand (not including the thumb) in one go via the publishers! Believe me if i had stockpiles i'd be selling them at £549.99 Anyway, this is Blakes thread not mine, so leave me alone Hope you're well mate? Cheers Steve
  25. You're right Paul! Since I've been playing it out, it's provoked a positive reaction EVERY time cos the song is so well known from the '71 hit. I do remember seeing it on one of your play lists from a while back and wondered then what it was like! And bugger me when i finally get the UA 45 i then find it's on the 'What's happening Stateside' LP which i've had since it first came out Cheers Steve
