  9. I sort of agree with you Cliff but wasn't it written originally for Motown, say in the way 'My sugar baby' was, only to be rejected and thus passed onto another artist in LA to record? I thought it was worth playing on't radio anyways Cheers Steve ps Just spotted yer PM, will reply in a mo'
  10. I thought the thread then changed into an appreciation of BOTH songs by various artists BUT I think most folks are aware we're discussing two different songs...............aren't they?
  11. Not been in to work yet Adam - will check it later OR you can PM me with it if you don't mind as I might not go in today as i've been under the weather this weekend! Cheers Steve

  16. Agree again John but worthy of a mention
  17. I feel a Yorkshire Special coming on! Actually, I've had loads of requests for shout-outs etc and most of them are from the White Rose County Cheers Steve
  18. I agree, it's not that strong, unless you like late 80's heavy drum machines 'Love me anyway' used the drum machines sympathetically.......not so with the rest of the LP (from memory) It's in demand on the French Boogie scene, that's where my copy went! Why not get yourself an orig US 'Thunder Bay' 45 at a fraction of the cost? I have the US & UK 45's myself cos the other good track from the LP is on the back on the UK 45 but not the US copy? Hope this helps? Cheers Steve
  19. Yep, Donnie & Bobby for me too Can't believe no one has mentioned Tom Jones' version..........................................ah but which 'Love love love' Cheers Steve
  20. I agree with Nick Mark! I know you meant it with tongue firmly in cheek BUT I agree your shows were the DB's and I was up there as one of yer biggest fans I'll be following the 'A Taste of Soul' line of course BUT will try to play records that folks from Yorkshire will like too eh Nick (Hee Hee) Cheers Steve

  23. Christ! There's a lot of information in that article Nice one Chalky! I always assumed the The Four Wonders were the same group as The Imperial Wonders! Wrongly! Four killer tracks over two fab 'Solid Foundation' 45 releases from the two groups that's for sure! Cheers Steve
