And a review from a different perspective Dave, here's a snippet from my latest 'Plumb's Peaches' in 'Soul Up North' about it The Springfield Rifle - That's all I really need - Burdette Finishing as always with a 60's track and this one is way out of left field! .......................................... ...............The flute intro gives way to a tick-tock rhythm that takes about 80 seconds to really get going before finishing with the hookiest hook line you'll hear this year! Yes it probably is white but there's a magical quality to this record that had me singing and humming it for the whole fortnight! I think if this was played by a few big name DJ's this could well become a Northern and/or 70's monster. Cheers Steve

I'm sure we've had this thread before Del Boy but doesn't do any harm mentioning it again imho I love me oddball/rare issues (I have all them 4 above for example!) and a couple i always trot out is me Tony Drake issue on Brunswick (even though the demo does have the same B side) PLUS Life issue on 'Mustard' Reprise(which has a B side unique to the issue BUT is shite unfortunately ) I've a load more and will post em when they come into me head.........oh aye just thought of another one Darrow Fletcher 'Honey can i' (B side on Atlantic issue of 'Rising cost of love' ...................Bloody great it is too Cheers Steve

This is so true They'll soon jump on you for selling things they perceive as not being kosher when it comes to Beatles, Elvis etc BUT they let guzzillions of the soul bootlegs through without a problem. I wish someone could put an end to all those fucking bootlegs that are on ebay. If ebay sorted it out they'd be fucked overnight! Apart from the obvious serious problem of ripping off artists, legal owners etc it drives you fucking mad having to wade through the fucking things every fucking day, wasting your fucking time skipping over the fucking things!!!! I know it's been said before on here BUT we all need to press the 'report this item to ebay' (or whatever the link is called?) and report it each time we see it! Cheers Steve
