THIS SUNDAY (Tomorrow) 12th February (8pm-10pm) Steve Plumb presents 'A Taste Of Soul' on SOLAR RADIO www.solarradio.com or Sky Channel 0129 Really really looking forward to this as Eddy takes a two week break and lets me loose on his show for the second week in a row! Plenty of 60's Northern Soul, Motown, 70's Soul & Crossover is the order of the day. The download links will be added to www.soulmusic.co.uk/radio.htm with full playlists in the near future (last week's already up there) NOTE - The SOUL PEOPLE show that Eddy & myself did the other week is also available to download on the above link PLUS you can now subscribe to my podcasts of past radio shows and downloaded them automatically to your iPod :-)

Looks like the ebay copy is the normal version on both sides? Your W/D has the Disco Version on t'other side Two separate methods of promotion by the looks of it? btw I've a W/D like yours for sale at https://www.soulmusic...uk/rarities.htm Cheers Steve

Yeah I agree Pat SMMA for me too
-
Yes Pat that is the really hard one, the other is just hard :-) I first heard about 'So Many Miles Away' from Andy Love's Love Music Review from back in the day! The first copy i had was the hard one, then i found the really hard one a few years later!
-
Yes they are the same record - both her name and married name were used - don;t know why she tried as dee dee schwartz though after being known as dee dee warwick all her life? Actually, i got a couple of copies of her Private Stock 45 last week and one has 'DeDe Warwick' on the label and the other has 'Dee Dee Warwick', so even the Private Stock 45 throws up another anomaly!
-
It's 'So many miles away' Pat Came out twice with different B sides but the same number Hope this helps Cheers Steve
-
Hi Seb Sorry for the confusion, we were talking about Mamie Galore? Have you got a scan of Mamie Galore with the 'Dist by Chess' round the bottom? Cheers Steve
-
Hi Kegsy This was my view on it too! I've always looked but have never been able to find a copy with the 'dist by chess' or 'address' round the bottom, so presumed all the others were pressed for the northern scene back in the day and that the true original was in fact very hard to find? Is this not correct? Anyone got a scan of one with the 'dist' or 'address' round the bottom? Cheers Steve
-
It is an boot from the early 70's Benji, although i agree it looks fabulous! Same with the Mamie Galore's, they all look great too! btw I have a Johnny Sayles boot without the address ready for the bay this week! Cheers Steve

Well I've spent all weekend adding loads of quality ORIGINAL Northern Soul, 70's, Crossover & Modern Soul 45's to the site. As always, there are LOADS of brilliant 45's spread ALL OVER the site at prices ranging from £5 to £500 PLEASE don't think that the only new 45's are on the 'Just Arrived' 'Front Page Focus' 'Second Page Focus' or 'Rare Soul 45's' pages? We add 45's to ALL parts of the site ALL the time and we are constantly reviewing & tweaking prices as we strive to give the BEST value for money ANYWHERE on the internet AS A COLLECTOR MYSELF I HATE IT WHEN A WEBSITE HAS A GUZILLION RECORDS SPREAD OVER HUNDREDS OF PAGES! ON WWW.SOULMUSIC.CO.UK YOU WILL ONLY FIND 30 OR SO HANDPICKED 45'S ON EACH PAGE, SO EVEN WITH SOUNDCLIPS IT DOES NOT TAKE LONG TO WHIZZ THROUGH THEM! Classic 60's dancer and glad it's finally getting a vinyl release Has been hammered on't radio over the last year (Solar's 'Soul People' and 'A Taste Of Soul' etc) but a 45 will see this go huge on the Northern Scene methinks? Snowboy was so enamoured by it, he played it twice in the one show early last year! btw I'll be playing it again on Sunday at 8pm on Solar when i stand in on 'A taste of soul' Cheers Steve

I have one Andy £12 plus postage if you want it (Ex) Fabulous record! Please let me know by email at sales@soulmusic.co.uk Steve

Flickr Northern Soul Re-Issues Scan Sharing Group
Steve Plumb replied to Mick Sway's topic in Look At Your Box
Have joined and added one scan as a test Mick Is there a way of having them in some sort of order as they look like they are in order of when they were uploaded? Be nice to have the artists all together? Or can they be ordered by each user however they want them? I'm new to this as you can tell :-) Steve
