  1. Yeah thought a few of you would think about your DVD collection OK looks like it's not as unusual as i thought? Anyway it's new to me and has taken it's pride of place on the shelves in the Motown section and the brown/yellow one now in the sales box Thanks to everyone who replied Cheers Steve
  2. Anyone seen this before? I bought this at a do last weekend and proceeded to show it anyone and everyone who came by! Must admit that i got a lot of blank looks BUT does this not make you feel good looking at Brenda with Twin Globes or have I not been looking in the right boxes over the years? Please someone come on the thread and agree with me Cheers Steve

  7. Well that will certainly do no harm to the price of the second issue, knowing it's a legal repress JM always quotes it as booted in the same batch as Timothy Wilson, Anderson Bros, Epitome of Sound, Dave Newman etc Bob - Yeah it was Mark I saw on Friday, sorry for the confusion! Cheers Steve
  8. Gil Scott Heron - The Train from Washington

  12. Hi Mike The B side is indeed one of me all time fave Deep Soul tracks and a record that got me into Deep Soul after buying it on UK whilst still at school (probably in Feb '76, thanks Paul!) for 'So is the sun' as I always played me B sides even back then. Did the same with Linda Jones on UK WB and my love affair with her began then too I've seen issues and demos on Tower - will bob over and look at the one JM is auctioning out of interest! Cheers Steve

  14. That's a recent reissue (from this year?) and it's 100% legal I would imagine? Wasn't booted back in the day I don't think? It got an early Capitol UK issue before the bootleggers got hold of it! Cheers Steve
  15. Oh yes 'Picked up packed and put away' is a killer dancer - top double sider! The UK paper label must be obscure too as most are those 'puke' printed ones Steve was on about

  23. Just found a small handful of unplayed copies of this great double-sided 45 Charlie 'Cole Black' Brown I Got Your Love Sounding like it should have been made by Tyrone Davis at his peak! Blinding Crossover mover from 1973 which has remained under the radar for many a long year! Listen Here www.soulmusic.co.uk/Records_For_Sale/Images_and_Sounds/1285.mp3 b/w I Just Can't Get Over You You think the top side is good? Then try this AWESOME Deep Soul opus! Marvellous record! Listen Here www.soulmusic.co.uk/Records_For_Sale/Images_and_Sounds/1286.mp3 Jewel Records Note - Although the original is from 1973, this is the legal second issue made in the 80's. Virtually the same as the original but the shade of Blue is slightly lighter on this copy. Still a bargain at £8 Visit https://www.soulmusic.co.uk to buy it at just £8 Cheers Steve
