  1. Thanks Richard New to me too but i'm certainly not an expert on Oz released 60's Soul 45's Cheers Steve
  2. Found this the other day and wondered if anyone has an idea on how much it is worth? Gonna be eBaying it very soon! JIMMY (SOUL) CLARK - If I Only Knew Then (What I Know Now) b/w Do It Right Now - ATLANTIC #2409 - Original AUSTRALIAN release from the late 60's Any opinions greatly appreciated Cheers Steve
  3. Got one for sale here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/12_List.htm Cheers Steve
  4. Think pikeys dog has got it about right? I've had one here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/LP_List_Various.htm for ages and had no interest whatsoever Hope this helps Steve
  5. I have a Little Anthony (Hexagonal Label/Picture Cover/Great Nick) here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/Northern_Originals_List.htm Cheers Steve
  6. I have a Judy Harris here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/Northern_Originals_List.htm Cheers Steve
  7. Apart from the obvious tell tale signs above, you can also tell the original by playing it! Original sounds louder and clearer than the 70's boot (well i think it does anyway) If you record them both on say audacity or similar, you'll notice the waves are much higher on the orig than the boot................should I get me coat as i think it's all gone a bit too technical
  8. Thanks for confirming it for me Good luck getting hold of one Steve
  9. Wasn't this a giveaway 45 at an American weekender from last year? Isn't it a local US band doing a recent cover of Eddie Parker? Sure I heard something along those lines?
  10. At the risk of being accused of schmoozing the SJ gang, gotta say this is another quality double sider that should see plenty of Modern Room spins for sure and one that will DEFINITELY feature on the Front Page Focus of https://www.soulmusic.co.uk as soon as it's out (if not a tad before ) Cheers Steve
  11. Mine's still here waiting
  12. W/D is very rare - seen (and had) a couple but much rarer than the orange issue Hope this helps Steve
  13. Now that's even better than 'faint line' The 'styrene seam' I love it Nice one Pete Watch out for it in a sales description coming to you soon LOL
  14. MP3 of 'Henry Ralph' https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/Records_For_Sale/Images_and_Sounds/110_esquires_henry.mp3 Label scan of the Hotlaine issue https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/Records_For_Sale/Images_and_Sounds/110_esquires_henry.gif Cheers Steve
  15. I agree Pete but how many times have you had to drop the price on 45's with it, or have folks haggling for a discount because of it, or even worse, sending them back because they are cracked LOL I've a couple of 45's on my site right now that are usually good sellers for me but i can't sell them for half their normal price because they have it...................and before someone says summat sarky, their normal price was a very reasonable price to start with Cheers Steve
  16. Pink Demo on Lee Roye in Ex Will PM you Cheers Steve
  17. PM'd ya on a lovely copy
  18. 'Faint Line' I LIKE IT
  19. Whatever it is, i'm sure that's why it's so tough to find! If most of them had it, i bet the fault/stress crack/split would have not got through a quality check and thus could have been pulled from sale?
  20. Hi Jordi Well remembered mate A friend of mine in the 90's got me approx 15 copies All were unplayed and ALL had the infamous 'styrene crack' I do remember selling them all at £75 even back then BUT did have a few sent back because of the 'crack' As an aside, it's always a hard one trying to explain the 'crack' in sales patter, there's just no way of saying that it's cracked but it isn't (if you know what i mean?). I tend to try 'stress fracture' but that sounds even worse! So i'd appreciate it if there are any Shakespearian Writers out there who can put into words how a record can be cracked but not and NOT put anyone off LOL Cheers Steve ps Glad it's finally getting spins - was always going to be a big record BUT some take a lot longer than others (20 years+ in this case!)
  21. Eddy's second charity 45 'Connor Reeves - Joy' is still around in very small quantities 100 made - 100% legal - 100% profits to charity (as were the R L Burnside's) Not quite as fast a seller as RLB cos it's not as in-demand plus it was £15 from the get-go, so has sold slightly slower BUT once it's gone, it's gone (as they say ) Find it here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk
  22. Just dug it off the shelves and given it a spin for the first time in years! Marvellous! T'other side not too shabby either (Gotta stange feeling) Good shout TFK
