  8. It'd be boring if we all liked the same things Bob I think LaVern has a similar quality to Almeta Latimore's 'These memories' Hope you're well Sir? Cheers Steve
  9. I have a lovely original for sale if it don't work out with Kegsy Cheers Steve
  10. I've recently been selling virtually the full collection of Kent LP's (well about 85+) one by one, mostly in fabulous condition I'm about a quarter of the way through them BUT they have been selling between £15-£30, so any you can get in good nick for a fiver, snap their hands off is my advice. Some are exteremely hard to find (mainly the non-northern ones) BUT the whole collection is something of beauty that's for sure Cheers Steve
  11. I rate 'Did I scare you' it came out before KORA and it's like a proto version - I love it, should get more spins? Got to disagree Boba - the 'other' version of 'It won't work out baby' by LaVern is fantastic and is the BEST version by a country mile (imho). Crossover perfection! Cheers Steve
  12. The thread is about B sides you seldom hear (good or bad) so here's one for you The other side of Life - Tell me why - Reprise Always seen as as double sided demo and same for the boots - the original issues have a proper B side...........................problem is, its kack. I remember buying the issue and praying the B side would be good but no, it wasnae! Cheers Steve
  13. I recorded it directly off a copy I have for sale here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/rarities.htm Cheers Steve
  14. Sounds fair to me Chalky? Only way to get the nice ballad on the other side too
  15. Mine were £35 Chalky and they have all sold (all except one sold prior to this thread I might add!) although the earliest release SP119 should be a tad more than that (imho)? Cheers Steve

  18. Agree there Andy about three figures, especially on the later issue? Incidentally, there is another Soul Potion release #125 of IGTLY/IGTR so that's three issues of IGTLY and two of IGTR (all classed as originals too i guess?)

  20. I've been selling the later release SP226 on my website for the last few months (got one left as it happens ) This and 'I got the rings' both came out earlier on different 45's I believe it is the same mix as the SP119 issue - I have both releases so can double check but pretty certain its the same? Find it here https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/New_Stuff.htm Cheers Steve ps There is also a 'black txt' issue of SP226 aswell as the silver txt copy above and on my site

  23. Yes, even though i said '66/'67 on the show, I agree it does sound more late 60's/early 70's and this wasn't done purposely just to get 60's only folks to listen, honest And yes, it won't suit everyone but i certainly love it and it looks like a fair few others do too Cheers Steve
  24. Yep, the FULL track is featured tonight - think it should just after 9pm ish Cheers Steve
