  2. Got 11 Cd's now (and haven't had to go to the depot for any of them ) On #6 (Eddie) in the car at the mo' Not heard a bad track yet - in fact I had a major panic yesterday when i realised there was a track i couldn't live without owning from John Lloyd's CD that i played 5 times straight...........................the 45 landed on the door step this morning with me being £4.50 worse off.....................thanks John this is what it's all about Cheers Steve
  3. Oops! Sorry guys! My new PO sheet sez that if it's under 100g and fits thru the '#1 Letter' slot it can go for 24p???? All i can think of is that some PO's decided it wouldn't go thru the slot, so they bumped it up to a '#2 Large letter' which is 16p more at 40p.........................and a quid for their troubles = £1.16 You wouldn't guess i run a bloody 45's mail order service would you!!!!!!!!!??????????? Once again really sorry for the hassle and to top it off you don't even get a fookin track listing! Leave it at the depot is what i say Cheers Steve
  4. www.soulmusic.co.uk Just a quick note to let you know that another batch of 45's have just been added to the site! Newly added 45's can be found in the 'Just Arrived', 'Rarities', 'Front Page Focus' & 'Recent Releases'. Don't forget to check the 45's in the other four sales sections 'Top Sellers', 'Classics', 'More 45's' & 'Even More 45's' as many prices have been tweaked and there are definitely some hidden gems in there at killer prices!!!!There's a whole bunch of brilliant stuff up there BUT numbers are limited on many of the 45's so you need to get in straight away or risk missing out!!!! Note - When you click the 'Play Track' button it now opens the MP3 in a separate page! Go on, have a look............you know you want to :-) Cheers Steve Plumb 17th May 2007 www.soulmusic.co.uk
  5. Got #1 Just need 6T2 & 6T3 Thanks in advance cheers Steve
  6. They all went out 2nd class last Friday Sean - even by Yorkshire standards you should have it by now???? Mind you, yours was special because i altered the graphic design on the label for yours - everyone else's said 'All Green & Crinkly'...........yours was altered at major cost to myself to read 'Al Green & Crinkly' - hope you appreciate the expense i went to to get this altered on my CD label Cheers Steve ps Received 6, played 5 - still top drawer, surely we can't keep up this standard, can we?
  7. Cheers John A few have asked for the track listing and a few have asked for more time while they figure it out! I'm just finishing listening to me fourth CD (out of 5 received) - Simon T in fact and as with the other 3 it's a goodie! Charles Drain on Checker still going round in me head - an old favourite of mine BUT i haven't heard it for years and years and it still sounds the biz In fact that's been my fave bit of this swap - listening to stuff i've not heard for years and of course being enlightened to things you've seen on lists but have never got round to buying (yet) - which is what it's all about eh? Cheers Steve
  8. wanted to complete the set Thanks in advance Steve
  9. Silhouettes - The old and the new - Goodway (I think it's called summat like that and i think it's on Goodway - it can have the free single with it if you want, although just the LP will do ) Holland Dozier Holland - Today Tomorrow and Forever - Jobete Triple LP Will give them both a good home PLMK Ta Steve
  10. Being a tight bugger, mine went out origami stylee with a second class stamp on it on Friday evening. So i guess they should be arriving this morning? Got 5 at the mo' Listened to Val's, Bully's & Andy's so far - top drawer This swap's definitely the business! Cheers Steve
  11. Only got the Jap PVine/Turbo copy for sale (Ex condition) PM me if that's OK Steve
  12. L P & H appearing on me web site next week SUBLIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agree with the others, Val & Bully - first two out the stalls and sounding veerrryyy nice if you don't mind me saying! Mine are nearly ready to go.......... Cheers Steve
  13. Actually a more accurate listing of the 45's would be good to! That one above is incomplete by a long way? Cheers Steve
  14. Hiya bulmeisterian1 No, I meant that there weren't any VG £50 rarities on the CD - just Ex copies of original US £10 45's sub-titled 'All Green & Crinkly'.....................or if you're Sean Hampsey 'Al Green & Crinkly'........Crinkly of course being one of Al's 'Soul Mates' Cheers Steve
  15. 'I wanna get over' is great - a Ray Dahrouge tune that sounds hellishly like 'I can see him loving you'......the real killer is the B side though (only on the issues as the demos are double sided!) - it's called 'Baby you got it' - fantastic 70's dancer and like you say, fetches a few quid! I had it covered up at The Orwell as The Essex IV - no one rumbled it for about a year, so i uncovered it as I'd had my fun with it Great label Vigor When i was doing the 70's label discographies for Voices in the late 80's/early 90's this was high on the list to be done BUT I never got round to it Not sure how many LP's they did but apart from the Street People, there's the Rythmn Makers LP too! Cheers Steve
  16. Got mine done over the bank holiday weekend (I know, sad f***er but my missus was working!) Decided on £10 45's............................and to be absolutely certain they were £10 sounds (so no one can moan about it being listed in John Manship's at £20 blah blah blah) EVERYONE came out of my current sales box (and no, they aren't VG copies of £50 rarities either!) Well happy with it, in fact there was a 45 i didn't have in my own collection (don't know how that slipped thru the net!) so that's been pulled and is on the next Orwell play list Copying them as we speak so they'll be out back end of the week. Cheers Steve
  17. Hi Mark I have a spare of 'Without you here' Please PM me Cheers Steve
  18. Think i have a mint copy of the 45 in me garage - will have to check? Please pm me if you're still after it (£6 plus postage) Cheers Steve www.soulmusic.co.uk
  19. Worth asking Seany baby, you never know! Al Green & Crinkly......................you crease me up Sean
  20. Just a little update fellas............. My CD won't be ready for a couple of weeks - I'm looking at mid to end of May for sending them out - hope this is OK? By the way, i'm calling mine 'All Green and Crinkly' (after the old joke about looking like a million dollars ) I presume Chris will forward all the addresses to us via email again? btw Does anyone prefer getting the CD sent digitally by say, yousendit, that might be an idea - whatcha all think? Cheers Steve
  21. Hiya Wally In case you didn't get the ebay copies, a mate of mine has it for sale (think it's Ex/Ex) - please PM me if you're still after it? Cheers Steve
  22. I've an Ex US issue if you're still after it AND a VG++ US W/D
  23. Wow! How cheap is that? Please buy it someone or i'll be forced to buy it as a spare! Cheers Steve
  24. so my idea of records on yellow labels wasn't chosen 'Budget Soul sounding like a Million Dollars' is OK by me - I take it it can be in any format then (including CD ) oh and that doesn't mean you can put George Blackwell on because it came from a £10 compilation CD 30 x 20 = 600 tracks whoa baby can't wait Cheers Steve
