  1. Just found TWO copies on US Motown (originals of course!) Both in Excellent condition 'except' there's a fairly pronounced edge warp on the buggers! Virtually the same on 'em both too!!!! Both play great on my USB deck at home - full refund if they don't play at your end! How's £125 each sound? First two folks to PM me will no doubt be happy campers PLMK Steve ****THREAD UPDATE - BOTH NOW SOLD - Thanks for looking******
  2. Hiya Baz I ain't got one to hand BUT it's on Richard Searling's CD 'Music from the soul' from a couple of years ago on expansion. Hope this helps? Cheers Steve
  3. Hiya Sutty I didn't realise it had been bootlegged? Although i guess i shouldn't be surprised! Cheers Steve
  4. At a guess approx £600-£700, possibly much more, as it simply never comes up for sale?
  5. There's always one isn't there Hope you're well Keith? btw Anyone got any thoughts on her other one on O-Pex? It's #110 and is the release before 'Won't' circa 1968ish? Totally different but same great vocals.......................did she do owt else? A voice like that deserved to record much more than just two 45's so there must be others by her but off the top of my head I can't think of any? Cheers Steve
  6. Not quite sure John as I've never seen a reissue BUT i suspect they're on UK Fantasy/Ace or Charley or summat like that - so that should give it away Notice an orig went thru the bay last night - didn't see what it finished at though! Hope you're well mate? Cheers Steve
  7. Hi D'Arcy Don't wait for me mate - you get 'em sold I had them at £12 but the last few I got were dearer so had to tweak them to £15! I think if you offered them at £12 they should fly out? Thanks for mentioning me Mr Bicknell by the way I remember when you played it in the Shack - it sounded bloody wonderful (and still does!!) I thought it was late 60's btw? Cheers Steve ps I've actually been selling a few of her 'other' one on O-Pex 'You better tell him no' - it's more of a Northern dancer than 'Won't you come back home' - rather nice it is too
  8. This makes great sense Mike Cheers Steve
  9. Yep, agree, well cheap that! And yep, that Deep cut on the B - wow! Steve
  10. Martin Personally, I never click on any of your threads or replies on these forums because you're general 'way with words' isn't for me BUT this really is offensive and as it's to one of my own threads I feel I have to respond! Do the right thing and edit your post above cos I think it's you who's looking like a bit of a twat (imho) Steve
  11. Just listed a few hundred random Soul & Funk LP's, a few rare 12"s and an extremely rare CD!!! There's a bit of summat for everyone including plenty of Northern & Modern Soul dancers! https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/LP_12_CD_List.htm I'll be updating the list regularly from here on in too! cheers Steve
  12. I believe that's the track the young lady wanted the LP for in the first place Well done on bagging it Kirst, only took you a fortnight Cheers Steve
  13. Agree, an absolute anthem that can be played on a few different scenes I like her other 45 on RCA too (Don't do it anymore) - Is this on that acetate LP too, anyone got a track listing? Cheers Steve
  14. Great dancer - I have another version 'The hurts on me baby' by someone else too but can't think who it is off the top of me head! It's either Willie & Mighty Mags or Willie & West - off one of those LP's I think? I have a copy of the Moments version for sale on a Stang 45 - pm me if you're interested (Think I've also got a spare of the UK LP with 'Just having your love' on it too!) Cheers Steve
  15. A GoldMind 12" that's still gots loads of mileage is True Example - As long as you love me bloody brilliant and imho could be a monster! t'other sides a killer uptempo dancer too! Never seen it on a 45 tho? Cheers Steve

  19. And from me too mate!!!!!! Not sure if folks realise how difficult it is to provide a weekly radio show so i think you should be knighted for keeping the quality up so high for so long! This might sound daft but I'll particularly miss that little 'gasp' you gave when you were about to spin a real killer tune - that to me made me realise that this was a jock spinning with real passion for the music Arise Sir Mark Cheers Steve
  20. 'Live & Direct' on ABC One side is live if I remember rightly? The other side is probably direct Lots around for under £20 i reckon? Cheers Steve
  21. Hi Gareth Can you tell us where this track can be found? Is it stuck on a CD somewhere or a Jap LP from way back when? PLMK Steve
  22. Hi Graham You mean the 'cheap as chips' CD swap? If so, i sent out 30 and got back about 20 (maybe a tad more?) Chris Anderton is yer man as he had all the addys etc Cheers Steve
  23. Agree Actually, when this first got played, we all thought it was an 'LP only' cut! I've only been aware of the 45 in the last year or so! Always summat to learn isn't there! Cheers Steve
