  2. I sold a copy off me web site (www.soulmusic.co.uk) about a year or so ago - i could dig out the soundfile and post it up if that will help? PLMK Steve

I've got those 10 plus yours Mike Working my way thru them but the quality of the ones i've played so far (including yours) is such that i'm giving them 2 or 3 plays thru, so it's taking some time BUT it ain't a chore, believe me! Got mine ready for burning so they should be landing early next week Cheers Steve

  12. Hiya mate Don't get me started on Ovide fingersnappers? Masters Of Soul - Do you really love me TSU Toronados - I still love you BoBo Mr Soul - Hitchhike to heartbreak road etc etc etc and what about a hat-trick of mid 70's '20th Century' fingersnappers? Imaginations - Love diet Michelle Wiley - Feels good (possibly the ultimate cool fingersnapper!!!!???) Younghearts - All the love in the world The list goes on................................. Cheers Steve
  13. Me and Flanny have both played this occasionally at The Orwell One for the future methinks as it's never had a great deal of exposure? Old last hour mecca 'one time' spin I believe? Always had me eyes open for spares of this for years and never came across any at reasonable prices, so it must be pretty tough! Think i last saw it at £150 a couple of years ago and that may have been Flanny in one of his 'hot box' moments Hope this helps? Cheers Steve
  14. Same here (well not SA, Lanzarote actually at Soul in the Sun!) - as i already posted on here earlier this month, mine will go out in a couple of weeks time. btw Got 3 before i went to SITS (all brill) got approx 7 more unopened which i will get into this week now things are getting straight! Cheers steve
  15. Just realised I only have the two separate LP versions of SAT (original & remix) so I'll get in the queue behind Ivor for a 45 if that's OK? Cheers Steve
  16. Just caught this one - good call Seany baby Love the fingersnapper to bits, whether at home or at a venue Some brill songs have been posted so far Another fave 'cool' fingersnapper is The Volumes - Ain't gonna give you up (there's loads and loads still not mentioned yet tho!) Incidentally, this type of sound, whether it be mid 60's to late 70's seems to have the ability to be played at many different types of venue too!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Steve
  17. Yeah, i was only joking, the ICA is the general release and the Chi-Heat is the local release...............both should be viewed as originals imho! I prefer to get the local release where possible BUT the general release is always welcome, especially when some local releases are virtually impossible to find (e.g. Ann Sexton on Impel) Cheers Steve
  18. Hee Hee nice try Shep I don't play it often enough actually, it's just that Blake has a photographic memory Try Ockers above, looks like there's a few around on the ICA reissue Cheers Steve
  19. Hiya Blake Quite true mate and if I catch that Mark Shepherd speeding it up, he'll have me to answer too I feel a new thread coming on.......................................'records you want buried with' (guess it must have been done before though? Cheers Steve
  20. Hi Pat As we discussed on Saturday, this is a tough LP but hopefully someone on SS will come up with the goods for you! I had a quick peak on popsike and it shows that 4 have sold over the last two and a half years on ebay so the odds say that one's due up within the next 7-8 months!!!! Good luck with your search, I'll keep me eyes open for ya! btw Great to meet you in Lanzy Cheers Steve
  21. Just a little note to say that I'll have a Record Stall in the Hornpipe Lounge (The Modern Room!!!) at The Blackpool Tower Soul Weekender BUT I'll only have it out on FRIDAY! If you're going to the Tower please remember to come and have a look - got plenty of US Northern, Crossover & Modern 45's (loads and loads that aren't on me web site either!). The £1 box won't be out this year and I don't think i'll have that many 12"/LP's as it's a long way up to The Hornpipe Lounge. Will bring a few choice items though! Hope to see some of you on Friday Cheers Steve Plumb www.soulmusic.co.uk
  22. I agree Jordi I always prefer to play 'Can you dig' out when I can - cracking crossover dancer! Well done whoever bagged it Cheers Steve
  23. Nice one John - saved me a job! btw How often have you ever come across it on yer travels? Cheers Steve
  24. Ey up folks Just got a record on the 'red' Apache label (same one as James Phelps and just a couple of numbers away from it!) by The Ripples - Cowgirls to boys/Only time will tell Two very nice sweet/group soul songs (particularly the B side). The top side is the Gamble/Huff song with the title altered cos it's a femme group! I guess it must be about '69/'70? Not found much info about the group and don't think i've ever seen the 45 before? Has anyone any more info they can add? btw I haven't recorded or scanned it yet so i can't post a clip up at this moment! PLMK Steve
  25. Good luck tonight Mark -I'll be tuning in Cheers Steve
