  1. Mr John In your humble opinion, whcih is the harder label design? The one above posted by Val (which i had a spare of) or the plain 'dark purple' 60's looking label (which i actually have)? I agree that the B side has summat too doesn't it and i see you played both sides recently at The Greatstone too! Cheers Steve
  2. Oi! Stop using my name in vain Mr C I 'had' a spare but it went to a really famous DJ...............
  3. Nice one Dave - you finally got one at a reasonable price then Didn't doubt you for a minute! Cheers Steve
  4. Can't wait Shaun There's been some brill stuff played over the last few weeks and we'll hope to keep that quality up for you mate! Cheers Steve
  5. I've never seen a 12" of it on Canadian Salsoul - that'd be nice! Only ever seen the Philly Groove 12" US demo (which is pretty rare imho circa £30-£40). The LP's are usually Philly Groove W/D's too, although I have a Yellow issue meself Now wouldn't it be great to think there's a 45 of it lurking out there!!!! Cheers Steve
  6. Hiya Nelly As you know, these are the ones i don't have in stock (For anyone else looking for the edits, I have a couple each of the rest!) Good luck with your search. For the record, here's the list of the all edits- Washington DC AE7 1134 Miami AE7 1135 Philadelphia AE7 1136 Baltimore AE7 1137 Detroit AE7 1138 St Louis AE7 1139 Houston AE7 1140 Chicago AE7 1141 Cincinnati AE7 1142 Cleveland AE7 1143 Dallas AE7 1144 San Francisco AE7 1145 LA AE7 1146 NYC Don't know if this exists in this series? Normal Issue is ZS8 3627 Cheers Steve
  7. I have a spare Mark - nice n cheap and in great nick too Cheers Steve
  8. There's one in the sales section just now at £200! Quite reasonable i reckon if it's in good nick? Cheers Steve
  9. I was talking bout vinyl Dave! Did this get a vinyl release?
  10. Think Chalky meant that there's an original RCA acetate LP of Judy Freeman (which i believe contains a slightly different version of 'Hold On'?) I guess it's only legitimate vinyl release (other than the US 45) is the UK Jumping At The Go Go LP from 1976 ish Cheers Steve
  11. I don't think that's too bad a price Ted? Now this one though- Second Re$surrection - You Done Let Daylight Catch You - Stanson - £2509 This shows the power of the soul scene and how records go from £250 to £2500 in a matter of months. I'm not knocking the fact it went for so much, just pointing out how easy it is for a record to slide up on the blind side and go into the stratosphere! Both are great tunes though! Cheers Steve
  12. I know Westy wants the Dutch 45 BUT if anyone wants the LP i have a spare
  13. I still want one of these peeps
  14. Just a quickie to say the spare copy I had for sale has now gone. And also to say that if you ever see that other one by him on a yellow label..............it's not reet good imho, whereas HLYST is just fantastic!!!!! Cheers Steve
  15. Dave Withers had some recently - hope this helps! Cheers Steve
  16. Hi Gareth Sorry for the delay - been at the 'soul4real' weekender in Bilbao - just got back. I do have a spare - thanks for reminding everyone Please PM me if anyone is interested - I agree it was way ahead of it's time and sounds fantastic now!!!!! Cheers Steve
  17. The Soul Source Internet Radio Station
  18. Anyone got one of these for sale please? Cheers Steve
  19. I reckon that whoever buys this will have on their hands, possibly one of the best records ever made...................totally stunning record imvho and very reasonably priced as you see loads of her other one on Yodi but not this one....................buy it, love it, cherish it forever Cheers Steve
  20. Agree! And strangely enough i have a spare copy of Sir Henry Ivy too!!!!!!!!! I like this tons better than Larry Brown actually! Cheers Steve
  21. I have a spare Excellent condition copy of this - I've never seen one for sale for yonks and i don't think i'd sell it for anything less than £150 I'm afraid. In fact i'd probably sell it much more i think if i ever got round to advertising it! Cheers Steve
  22. Hiya Flanmeister Yeah, Four Flights AND Sly Slick & Wicked (the version i prefer actually) both dead long BUT well worth the wait! Leroy Hutson is called 'Right or wrong' and yes, know what you mean.............................although Leroy is reponsible for a twist to this thread called 'What records start out as the best things since sliced bread, then peter out......................' 'Lucky Fellow' being record in question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best records ever BUT the vocal stops after a couple of minutes and finishes with instrumental grooviness BUT i'd have preferred him to come back in and sing for us again! Top that one Cheers Steve
  23. Hi Derek I sort of agree and disagree with you mate A revival of the best 80's indies might be interesting........but over time after we'd played the 50-100 of them that are of superb quality, methinks it'd get a bit messy and a lot crashy very quickly Must be room for little moments of quality 80's indies in any descerning DJ set though imvho Steve
  24. Here's my little offering- Softouch - After you give your all.....................takes a funky age before it kicks into the most fantastic dancer! Steve
