  1. Will check it out later Simon, many thanks!
  2. I presume they mean a phishing website is the website the phishing emails take you too (doh! makes sense i guess!)...................which this site certainly isn't!!! All web site ethics have been adhered to so there should not be any problems............looks like i need to report the site as being 'safe' to Microsoft and wait til one of Bill Gates' boys checks it's cosher!!!!!!!!!! The problem is, to report it as safe, i need to see the warning in the first place, which i cannot see from here? Catch 22 comes to mind!!! This site has been running for years and this is the first time i've heard of this! Cheers Steve
  3. If anyone lands on me site www.soulmusic.co.uk and gets this message flashed up, I'd welcome a screen shot of the message (i.e press 'print screen' and save it as a jpg/gif/bmp etc in paint, word or lots of other programs) as like I said i've never come across this before? Cheers Steve
  4. Cheers
  5. Only just found this thread............I have my own opinions on carvers/cd-r's/LP's/12"s/Cd's etc............but I guess i'd better first of all nominate The Orwell in Wigan as a candidate for the OVO 'Master' List being administered by Superintendent Guarnori Cheers Steve
  6. Nice one I'm sure it'll go down well at The Orwell, as you're right there is a very receptive crowd there! Cheers Steve
  7. It's nowt to do with fishing..................just Soul Music that's all Seriously though, what's a phishing website? Never heard of that before? Heard of phishing emails that come into yer inbox and try to get you to give info on yer paypal/banking accounts etc BUT a phishing website is summat i ain't come across before???????????????????????? If you could send me a PM with details of the warning messages your browser is throwing up I'd be grateful. Also if you could let me know by PM what browser you're using cos like i said, it's a new one on me?????? Cheers Steve
  8. Well I'd have to disagree with you there. Blew me out the water when i first heard this (2000/2001?) bought it immediately and have loved it ever since! I seem to remember hearing it played by Paul Phillips on Solar the week of it's release and being mightily impressed with it. In fact imho it's only been a matter of time that it'd become a monster on the retro/60's/70's scene (as opposed to the Soulful Garage/Nu Soul dance scene) cos it has all the same ingredients as Shazz/Michael Proctor/Bobby Pruitt etc). Maybe a bit too soft for Soulful House Heads..........but i'm not one of those...........and me mate who's willing to donate a bollock isn't either Cheers Steve
  9. Well it is for a mate of yours ........................not sure how hairy his bollocks are but the more desparate he gets, maybe you could get both of them from him for it
  10. A mate of mine wants 'Joi Cardwell - Let it go' on 12" so badly he said he'd donate a testical for it He's struggling to find one on sale at the moment and like all collectors, he doesn't want to wait, he wants it NOW!!!!! Glad I bought mine when it was first released, as I know how frustrating it is when you want something yesterday!!!! Anyone who fancies nailing his hat on please let me know If you have one for sale let me know how much it is? (by PM preferably) Cheers Steve

  12. Yes, fookin stunning record from Gladys. Another Sam Dees classic! Yes, a warm up for 'After all' which in my opinion is one of the greatest records EVER made! Gets me every time..............and i've never been divorced either..............God knows what it does to folks who have been in that position!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Steve
  13. Same here Only recently bought this and it's bloody fabulous Northern but I think it could get some plays in the Crossover/70's rooms too? I'm certainly going to give it a go at The Orwell that's for sure! Love all the Commands stuff too - great label Cheers Steve
  14. I do look after you don't I Stevie That's gone up in price BUT not nearly as much as Psychodelic Frankie All three versions on Soul Clock are all brilliant in their own right imho................but I do prefer Connie Tanzell's version best! Top quality Northern Soul! I'd also say it would easily fetch three figures now (not including decimal points either!) cos there was a thread recently about it and no one could find one anywhere on sale!!!! It's the first release on the label too! Cheers Steve
  15. I went to the one in Las Vegas and thoroughly enjoyed it
  16. Loads of mighty fine tunes are that list that's for sure Have PM'd you Cheers Steve

  23. Thanks for blowing my cover Steve Anyway that report you asked for on that DJ will be on your desk tomorrow morning Cheers Ian Blair
  24. Just posted the info below on JM auction thread then spotted this thread, so i've posted it again- Best way to tell the Anderson Bros is to make sure the mono side is actually mono! It definitely sounds different to the Stereo mix and is only on the original. I always play the Mono side out........keeps the Soul Police away Cheers Steve
