- What's Your Favourite Album?
Beverly Glen was owned by Otis Smith (no, not that one!) Anita Baker famously credited one of her songs on the ''Rapture" LP to her memories of him, it was called "Watch Your Step" Cheers Paul- What's Your Favourite Album?
Nice call Petebanger!!! I always thought Beverly Glen LPs were the buisness!!! Remember talking to Terry Jones once, in the Spread Eagle Shoredich circa Christmas 87, and saying "Don't forget Terry Beverly Glenn comes but once a year"! Cheers Paco- Bert Decoteaux

Nice one Tabs some classic soul tunes/artists on there! I've always wondered why nobodys released the "SoulTrain" series on DVD before? Maybe something to do with royalties or summat? I hope its not a case of Parkway records all over again (where the owner just didn't want to re-release anything) Anyway thanks very much for the CDR Tabs, the "Soul Philanthropist" Cheers Paul 'n' Mandy- "judy Street"
Think thats quite an old photo tho' Sean, she may have changed a bit since , I know I have! Cheers Paul Woosnam- How Did You Get To 70's Venues
Only too well mate, a Saterday nighter after a Friday oldies. Back from Wigan 11ish straight to the pub 'till closing at 3, back home for a wash 'n' brush up then back in the pub for opening time. No room in Pips car at closing time so of course its off to the A49 with our thumbs out. We were definately still "in the mood" Cheers Paco- D.i.s.c.o ?
Thats OK we'll blame Simon then!- How Did You Get To 70's Venues
By hook or by crook!!! We traveled from Shrewsbury, by any means we could, sometimes in luxury of a rover car ,sometimes on an organised coach, sometimes on the train and run the gauntlet when you arrived in Wigan. The train was always a pain 'cos in those days coming back on Sunday you'd have to wait 2 hours in Crewe or Wolverhampton for your connection. Travelled to Yate once with 23 of us in a 14 seater mini bus, needless to say the thing broke down halfway home the next day. Looking forward to the 4 hour train journey to the next Frankfurt tho' Cheers Paul- Bert Decoteaux
Never realised that was Bert, thanks pomonkey 'Tho have to confess I prefer Nina Simones version Cheers Paul - Bert Decoteaux
