  13. Know what you mean Mark 'bout the price of LPs In my experience a good deal of them can be picked up for a lot less stateside As for going from vinyl to CDs................................now thats just daft Cheers Paul PS I find the Cat label most attractive to look at as well as there being some great music on there of course
  14. Don't regret buying the LPs just regret selling the 45s sunnysoul. Better to have the LP and the 45 IMO !!! Little Beavers 4:22 on the LP think "Concrete Jungle" was a rare groove spin off this LP ? Cheers Paul
  15. Hi mischief yep the hotels address is I think 10 Thomas Cicle but as it takes up about a quarter of that circle I'm sure 3 Thomas Circle don't exist anymore. Love Washington great place lovely friendly polite people can't wait to get back there Cheers Paul PS It is very very cold in winter tho
  16. Brilliant post Mark and oh so true. I sold my 45 after I bought the LP back in the 80s I was "going through a phase" of selling 45s if I found the LP.............what a great idea that was .........................Carol Anderson immediatly springs to mind as another example. Best stop now or I'll get nightmares Cheers Paul
  17. It works mischief Been twice to Washington and both times stayed at the Washington Plaza hotel, address.......................................Thomas Circle !!! Were we sleeping above the old Shrine HQ ? Cheer Paul
  18. Not surprised at all meself to see it going for 50, people were selling it for 25 or more while it was still available from hip-o-select They won't sell their CDs to England anymore but you can buy them (at hip-o-select prices) from Dusty grooves. Not this David Ruffin one I hasten to add this has been a long time sold out Great stuff on the CD "I Cant Be Hurt Anymore" was a big radio play for Mr Searling at the time of release Cheers Paul PS Mines number 1800

  22. Wouldn't say it sounds better gazman but there is a very nice remix on there Also theres the really good Fantastic Johnny C "Waiting For The Rain" remix which is basically the instrumental and vocal tracks mixed so that its longer, like not messed about with, if you see what I mean An Arctic CD now theres a thought...................something for Kent maybe ? Wonder if theres many tracks "left in the can" ? Cheers Paul
