  1. It was a Soul Bowl "front pager" back when it was released so I would imagine there were a lot around. Having said that Bessie Banks "Don't You Worry.........." and even Eula Cooper "Let Our Love..............." were also "front pagers" so......................................................   2. Released in March 1972 according to "The Soul Harmony Book" so its a "Modern" tune then Just out of interest does anyone know who the female lead is on the flipside to thier other VMP 45 "You Send Me" ? The rather wonderful "Mr Moonlight" (released in 1969) Cheers Paul

  10. As far as I remember Richard Searling played it first as "Lee Valentine" during the last couple of years at Wigan. After it was uncovered it was a Soul Bowl "front pager" for a few weeks so I"d guess there were a few about Cheers Paul

  13. The term "popcorn" in this instance refers to a scene in Belgium where they played "popcorn" music, originating @ the "Popcorn Club" Its a varied musical dance scene some of which "crosses over" to the Northern scene. Hope this helps Cheers Paul PS Nothing to do with a cinema confectionary

Eddie Daniels "Is He Better Than Me" (Boots Records) Bit of an unfortunate label name My copy came from a good friend who once told me it had been 'booted" Think he got his info from Ian Clark no less So ....................how do you spot an original ? Any help really appreciated I've checked Mr Manships 1st price guide but didn't see it listed (I don't have the later guides cos I don't like these books, they give me nightmares ) and I've yet to buy the 'Bootleg Guide" (shame on me) Thanks in advance Cheers Paul
