Another great list Sebastian, good LPs at nice prices
I'll be saving my 'Timi Euros" for that Ebonys LP thats for sure as the last one went AWOL (check Freebasing "It Could Only Happen To Me..............." thread )
Good luck with the sales mate
Cheers Paul
As you're travelling from DC theres a shop just outside (Maryland) called "Memory Lane Records" which is worth checking out.
Also theres a few record shops in DC itself let me know if you need the addresses
Also theres a lovely supper club in DC called "Blues Alley" where you can catch great live soul and jazz 7 days a week in a nice intimate venue
Cheers Paul
I've got this on the red/orange label Matt Male, all the details are exactly the same at first glance to your scan, except for the labels colours of course.
Its Patti singing the flip
Cheers Paul
PS Styrene too
Shoulda read your last line......................................DOH
Cheers Paul
PS Enjoy your record ........................."Do It Frankie Do It......................" etc, etc
LP is "There Is" Beeker73
Title track also an uptempo dancer and the album also features their northern classic "Wear It On Our Face"
Rest of the LP is full of Dells harmony soul loveliness.
Shouldn't break the bank either if you look around, think I paid about 7 bucks for mine 'bout 5 years ago
Cheers Paul
Sure I've seen it offered for as high as 50 quid and as low as 20 in the last year or so. I guess somewhere between is right
Got one for 19 bucks from "Dusty Groove" last year, mintier than a polo.... I was well chuffed
Cheers Paul
A good friend of ours is on here (and Russian) as "silliewillie", well into her Northern and doesn:t mind a bit of modern too.
She;s left Russia now 'tho and lives in San Francisco, the clever minski
Cheers Paul
The size of the 45rpm on the left hand side of the label, large printed 45 are real and small printed are dodgy
Cheers Paul
PS Dunno if this applies to demos
Not such a great deal 5 for 25 as they're a fiver each Whereismyrecord !!!
Some fantastic 12s on that list "tho and seeing the price of minty 12s these days a fiver each has gotta be a bargain
Good luck with the sales
Cheers Paul
Don't want to create an international incident here here but according to the "Soul Harmony Singles" book the Rouser release came out in 66 and the Fairmount one in 67
Cheers Paul
They're my favourites an' all kev
A mate got me 200 or so at a record fair last year for a good price, I'd be interested in a few hundred more 'tho if they're not too dear
Cheers Paul
