What price can I expect to get for a nice minty white promo of "You Don"t Want Me No More" these days please Cheers Paul
  6. My favourite version too. Also love the flip "Stoned Outta My Mind" Cheers Paul
  7. Hey Mr G do we have to wait for the book to find out how/why ??? Cheers Paul
  8. I think someone has an acetate of "Tears" credited to JR Bailey. As for being Al Wilson I"ll have to read the old thread. Cheers Paul
  9. J.R Bailey doesn"t sound much like Chuck Wood to my ears but he may be Lee Roye ??? Cheers Paul
  10. It does look nice but I suspect a 70s release maybe trying to cash in on thier Philly Int success or the UK Route (re) issue in the UK. Cheers Paul
  11. I find it awful to tell the truth. Only reason I keep hold of my copy (styrene ex+) is for the ballad flipside "Where Did Our Love Go" which I like a lot. Cheers Paul
  12. I guess not booted at the time as it was released on Gapevine pretty soon after going big ? Also there were a fair amount of originals around too. Why on earth it was booted later (and with an equaliy available track on the flip I will never know) Cheers Paul
  13. Thanks for the heads up I had not heard of this project. Got to be worth a listen Cheers Paul
  14. A screw top or cork will have no relevance to the quality of wine. In fact a screw top could be preferable as it won"t react with the wine and produce "corked"wine syndrome. All Aussie wine is screw topped for instance. Cheers Paul
  15. Also an all-dayer @ Shrewsbury Tiffanies I think Feb "83. Remember Glyn Thornhill DJ ing so maybe he can confirm the date. Think it was jazz/funk in the main room and "modern soul" in the smaller one Cheers Paul
  16. Well enough said I guess, if no-one gives a sh#t Cheers Paul
  17. As is Patti Austins Cheers Paul
  18. Also an LP but I cant remember the title sorry. Many other versions too of course Stumbled accross Dee Dee Warwicks version on her Atco lp yesterday for instance Cheers Paul
  19. OK This seems to be sorted now Wasn"t there another Sandra Richardson unreleased that Mr Searling used to play ? Anyone remember that one? Cheers Paul
  20. Never a day goes by where I don"t have a Gladys& The Pips tune passing through my head. RIP William Guest "He"s leaving on that midnight train...................." Cheers Paul
  21. Shouldn"t that be 14;00 till 17;00 in europe Dave ? Cheers Paul
  22. Not on British as far as I know so sorry if off topic but does anyone remember the female version of Ral Donner ? Daughters Of Eve "Social Tragedy" (Chess) played for a few weeks by Richard S and then a Soul Bowl front page special. A tad quick for these days methinks Cheers Paul
  23. Brenda Lee Eager (good call) still very much alive and on FB Cheers Paul
  24. Depends on country of origin I guess Dean with regards population of those countries. Also weather the song was a hit or not. Its tough to find a lot of non hits these days in good/mint condition so if you can pick em up cheap could be a good investment. Cheers Paul
