I hardly think calling someone "soul police" is as offensive as "dickhead" or "lazy mker"! You slate me for buying a BOOT & then tell me to deal with someone to make me a BOOT?!? Is there ANY logic there??? Surely if i buy a boot already made, that is ethically better than bringing another copy in to the world?? I fully understand that bootlegs, carvers, etc of issued tunes are morally bankrupt, but this was NEVER issued!!! You dive in with both feet with your pearls of wisdom, but don't have the full facts of the matter. You then have a pop at Pete who DOES know the full story! Just read your pathetic reply again & although i accept your apoligy, you have no right to call me a "lazy mfer". You know nothing about me & what i do. You should maybe stop "trolling" people's posts & use your energies to say something positive for a change. I would obviously have looked for an original 1st issue if Motown had released it. However, that is not the case. I doubt Motown will miss the royalties due, on me looking for a BOOT (stomping as Jocko quotes) pressed 10 or more years ago. This is a great site wasted with needless comments from some people.

All sorted out last night without any drama. Faith restored in the guy & money back no problem. Thanks everyone for their imput.

I paid £60 for it mate. The deadwax only has 1001 A scratched in. From memory i kinda though it was around the £100 mark in m- condition, so £60 for ex+ was okay. As i said, i trusted the seller from his reputation. However, we all make mistakes & maybe it just slipped through the net?!?

Thanks lads...gonna bump into the sellar tonight & see what he's gotta say about! Bought blind so to speak, because of the guy's reputation!

I should also add that the vinyl has lots of little "pock" marks or "craters" in it. (Don't know correct term for these marks!) It only has 1001-A & 1001-B scratched in the run outs.

Hi folks. I was looking for a second opinion on the above record please. After checking Manship's guide, the maroon label with silver writing is a boot?!? The original is a pink/red label with black writing?!? It was sold to me as an original & would like a second opinion before i make my next move!! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again folks, all info appreciated. Ted - seen your post mate, but I shudder to think what that would cost mate & whether it was for sale?!? Chalky - great idea, never though of that tbh. Guess I should google "Timmion" & contact them? Do they do the whole job - you just tell them what you want? What kind of money does this cost? Finally, if & I say if, I played this out at a venue, would I rightly be slated for it? Would it be acceptable at an ovo event or would that be taking the p#ss?
