  5. That could be steve's vocals on the first take ? they sounded very much the same ..but sadley the group didn't record ..they was mainly a Dance act in Detroit
  6. Steve Calloway was mainly the lead singer with group .. there were four takes of it .. at first going to be titled " I really Love My Baby " when i kept playing him the track steve was not 100 % that it was his vocals on the issue ( he never seen the 45 until here in the uk although people in Detroit was telling him they have a 45 out ). as he mainly remembers doing the backing tracks although he said he sounded very much the same as swigle , the group was mainly dance act . steve states the b side is not the professionals ... and very much sounded like steve mancha .. early take where also i've heard the same story in Detroit ..when i was at joe kingfishers place i played him his version which he said it was him ... yet again its over 40yrs and sometimes they forget and get mixed up it happend also when I ws with Yvonne Vernee she swear black and blue my love for your love ..The Elgins was not her ..until i played her the track which she totally forgot about . Did my baby call is a great track regardless which version .

  11. Ian claims to have five records not listed in any guide. He starts this podcast with all five of these, before he then goes on to play Irma Routen. He says that these five are not in Manship's and not in Tim Brown's price guides. The Products, The Panics, Cilka And The Second Generation, Bobby Richardson, and Toni Mathis. Does anyone know any of these ?? Are they as unknown as Ian thinks ?? ... got to admit he really does do it this time ! Levine is BACK !

  15. Been talking to Ian about this .... "My You-Tube page is managed by my publishers now - not me personally. They wanted a Levine Top 40 of videos. There is no video of James Wells doing either "Baby I'm Still The Same Man" or "My Claim To Fame". If you notice, the only top 40 entries are song where there is an ACTUAL video of the artists. As for the crappy effects, I hated them as much myself. Which is why we eventually redid them ALL, and put them out as a box set of 200 videos all redone and improved and fixed up. "Northern Soul's 200 Greatest Floorfillers" Most of the stock sadly got destroyed when the London riots burned down Sony's warehouse in Enfield, but I think a few survive. Here is the link.... https://www.wienerworld.com/northern-soul-s-200-greatest-floorfillers-5-disc-box-set.html Northern Soul's 200 Greatest Floorfillers (5 Disc Box Set) www.wienerworld.com VIEW THE FANTASTIC TRAILER NOW!!
