as promoters we've always championed newcomer dj's Well that's not the case around The West Mids especailly With the well known and older promoters , They always think its all about them or maybe is it a bit of Jealousy ? or yet again CLICKY CLICKY MATES.

Hi Ed mate yes craig is too scared I know what your saying about the good night thing and remember about the hollybush thread when I stated the dance floor don't care what's it played on and i think we chatted and agreed at that soul night NR crewe when i came up with Phil and Mom , why I wanted a vote was simply to see what the out come would be , not to prove a point against the DJ in question. Anyway mate I recall I lost a bet on you at the last connaught night I thought you was well in there see you soon.

No way lets put it at a vote all in favour playing boots or originals only , I would like to see the end result.

Hi Dave full of respect mate I don't mean to put you on the spot with this but look how many times we have Discussed this , Look at the advise you have always given me and trust me I will use and I truly know your views and points on this subject. We can go on and on and on and like I've already stated to me I can not understand about this soul club and allnighter thing My views no matter where you are playing it should not be this soul club or allnighter thing ! yet again I notice this allnighter originals only policy But there is one resident at an allnighter who is a exception I've been told , like I say one rule for one , one rule for another and at this point No disrespect to that DJ what so Ever . Everybody as their own Views on this, In future I will keep mine to myself , you either DJ with Boots or Originals thats up to you all , I will put my views to sleep Now , No Matter what we say we can not stop anyone from DJing and Playing Boots even if it is The Fourtops On a Yesterday year label. Like i said this will go on and on , If she as many Originals my question will be why don't she play them , its got to be a case of playing the expensive floorfillers but like so many have said you can play a top spot with a lot of cheap originals , I think at the end of the day it's up to them what they want to DJ with boots or Originals I've been told certain promoters gets to know who DJs with Boots and Originals I've also been told when you DJ you sort of get a name for yourself either good /bad playing boots/originals , I was asked to go to a local venue on Saturday night in The West Mids Both of us Agreed not to go because a certain guest DJ was booked and is well known to play boots and having Carvers made of the expensive stuff , this was our choice But the residents have good originals and play them out so really unfair on them , You have a choice to go to venues if you like The DJ you GO if Not then DON'T simple. I may have missed a few of replies but I've noticed the Bigger DJ's have not commented their views on this subject

We could easy walk away , But they would win in the long run , lets be honest about the true Fact of Certain Most DJs In the West Mids and Promoters there age is catching up with them , They won't be around forever and I don't want to sound disrespectful to them , I hope to carry the legacy on with THE ORIGINAL WAY. This thread will go on and on and some won't give a toss if its played on a boot or not , DJs will carry on Playing Boots and some others won't play boots Only originals I've had plenty of chats with Local Djs on this subject and the one thing that maybe best advise is let them carry on , if a DJ is on before me and plays a boot That won't stop me playing the Original I could easy say Here's a real one , but then again that's unfair to the paying punters who don't want to hear 45s replayed on the same night. Yes bringing Artist's over is very Hard work I'm very close with Alot Artist's who I Dearly honestly love had some fantastic times In Detroit with most of them , some on our scene don't like to see live artist's and that's far enough give me this time with Artist's then any Original or bootleg of theirs.

I don't know KevH , That's another one I've heard recently that if its a soul club it does not matter about Playing Boots but at an Allnighter it's originals only and they won't get away with it , well some time ago in the west mids there was a certain DJ booked at A venue who played boots after boots of all expensive good sounds of Northern , He was getting slagged of by one Member stating it was not fair for the later DJ going on after Him who as the originals and payed a lot of money for them I Had to agree with that , then a few weeks later he tells me there's the right place to play Originals and soul clubs don't count , so why did he slag him off in the first place. It seams to me one rule for one and one for another and it's about clicky clicky mates.
