Just recived this Email from Joe Pep Harris - - I have just been informed that a decision was made this morning September 3rd to remove the life support from Norman Whitfield.Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Joe Pep My Thoughts and Prayers also , Norman produced so many great tracks.

I Like Gav especially when he was pulling faces behind your back when we was doing the Filming of The Elgin's and telling me who the artist's was when you was asking me to hear the new Tracks , no Gavs a kind guy and really enjoyed chatting and meeting him at Northampton , Although I know he would look after you ,Yes I seen that idiot of a woman being so Rude to you which was totally unfair you did not deserve that , and no matter how we had our differences at the start of meeting I'm so glad we sorted them out , when i done the track play list for Northampton and Jct 2 there was no way i was Leaving out " Don't wait around " it was a Must for The Elgin's to perform this Live ! all being well Ive sorted some Dates out for Them to return In November and i want to include " Souvenirs of Love " to the live show. I do know what went on , to say you regret digging her out of retirement is sad , if you didn't your motorcity project wouldn't have been complete not saying 100% it was but just looking at the artist's , songwriters who you put back together with the Motorcity project at the time you took a chance and a big gamble , sadly i hear it all the time when I'm In Detroit Levine this , Levine that , even when i want to do something with some of them anything to do with Levine often quoted , But luckily there is still some artist's who appreciates what you did , No matter how much money you lost , whoever slags you off be very PROUD of The Motorcity Project !

Come on Ian give some Credit , yes he's not the first and won't be the last to go Over To Detroit or any other part of the States to record and produce new tracks , he had a dream just like you and Me for the matter of the fact and fair play to Carl he did it ! just like you with the Motorcity Project . Personally I think Carl won't get the support like you did not with the Motorcity project which is a real shame , I really like what Carl as done especially the Spyder Turner track ! No one in a Million years will ever attchive what you did with The Motorcity project but that does not stop the likes of Carl or Myself or anyone else who is intrested in doing this type of thing with artist's they love and have listened to their music for years , at present I'm working with Joe pep with some new tracks of his for me to get that involved means so much and belive me i do want to learn. for those who have not seen Carl's video here it is and I'm really pleased to see spyder back in the studio - - ">
